 Hats Off to Deflection

RHOP Season 9, Episode 1 - "A Crash Course in Deflection"

The episode opens with a dramatic reenactment of Karen's car crash in March 2024, resulting in her second DUI. A month later, the cameras begin rolling, with Gizelle picking Karen up for a drive. During their ride, Gizelle expresses concern over Karen’s emotional state, reflecting on how different Karen seems since the DUI.

Meanwhile, Mia, Gordon, and their kids enjoy ice cream together, but their relationship is rocky. Gordon moved into Mia’s building to be closer to the children, but tensions remain, especially with Mia’s affair with "INC," which complicates their marriage further.

Ashley meets with her attorney, ready to finalize her divorce and gain custody of her children, while Wendy unboxes her belongings after resigning as a professor, fearing her mother's reaction to her decision.

Karen, Giselle, and friends gather for a "Hattitude Party," hosted by Giselle, who gifts each woman a custom hat representing their personalities. As the group engages in discussions about relationships, Mia’s personal life becomes a hot topic, especially regarding her new relationship with INC. Tensions rise when Jacqueline brings up that Mia’s children saw her in bed with INC. The group becomes divided as they debate Mia’s decisions as a mother, with Wendy offering a compassionate perspective, emphasizing the importance of not attacking each other as mothers.

We Wine Whenever (00:00.899)
Hi, welcome to We Why Whenever. I'm Wendy. We're talking about Real Housewives of Potomac. They are back. Season nine, episode one, a crash course in deflection. A crash? I can't say that.

We Wine Whenever (00:03.347)
I'm Kelly.

We Wine Whenever (00:17.427)
crash course in deflection. you go.

We Wine Whenever (00:19.49)
deflection. It starts out with the reenactment of Karen's accident on March 19th. I did not either. They could have just, it was terrible. And on watch what happens live, I don't know if you saw Karen, but yeah. So she says like it was cause she watched it for the first time before she was on watch what happens live.

We Wine Whenever (00:28.243)
I didn't like that they did a reenactment. I think that was terrible.

We Wine Whenever (00:40.231)
I didn't watch it yet.

We Wine Whenever (00:49.653)
and Andy said, it must have been hard for you to watch. And she goes, it was hard. She goes, it was very realistic, except for the deer. There was no deer. What?

We Wine Whenever (00:58.215)
They made it like the deer's wood made it happen.

We Wine Whenever (01:01.034)
Exactly! Exactly! Which is really... Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (01:04.552)
come on. That's what I mean and that's what I wrote down. Like why are they doing a reenactment? They weren't there. They don't know what happened.

We Wine Whenever (01:11.437)
I I know. thought, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (01:13.895)
I mean, and it's not like the police are gonna hand over any discovery or evidence to Bravo so they can do a reenactment for the show. Like, they're not gonna do that.

We Wine Whenever (01:23.532)
Right, they could have just put up the words on this date, you know, she was arrested, that's it, and put up with the charges were, that's it, you know?

We Wine Whenever (01:29.928)
Great!

tell you what, God forbid somebody else got hurt during that, they wouldn't have done a reenactment. You would hope not, at least.

We Wine Whenever (01:37.766)
No, and the reenactment they did? It was wrong. I mean, why would they put deer in there?

We Wine Whenever (01:44.317)
Yeah, especially if Deer were, I mean, they literally made it seem like the Deer were the, you know, of her reeling off the road.

We Wine Whenever (01:49.068)
cause of the accident.

We Wine Whenever (01:53.312)
Yeah, because when I saw that I thought, okay, the deer, all right, yeah, the deer.

We Wine Whenever (01:58.727)
Yeah, listen, we, the wedding we just went to, our nephew Christian, his mom, they all lived down in Lake Tuckerton area, Little Lake Harbor, and we were leaving her barbecue one day and it was still bright outside, it was summertime. And Eric hadn't been drinking because he was driving and a deer ran out in the front of our car and Eric tried to stop in time, didn't, just hit.

We Wine Whenever (02:13.227)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (02:25.999)
hit the deer slightly, the deer kept running and there was nothing wrong with the car. But right after that happened, another deer ran right in front of us. It's like startling and you do have to slam on your brakes and if you are going a decent speed, you will reel off. Drunk or not.

We Wine Whenever (02:41.781)
Yeah. Yeah, no, I know. I know. It's crazy. First of all, think it was, like you said, like we didn't need the reenactment. And then to give us an inaccurate reenactment?

We Wine Whenever (02:54.053)
information?

We Wine Whenever (02:56.139)
Yeah, so if you didn't watch Watch What Happens Live, like you didn't, you would have thought that the deer caused it, which changes the whole story.

We Wine Whenever (03:02.065)
Yeah, absolutely it does.

We Wine Whenever (03:06.804)
So after we saw the horrible reenactment, see one month later filming starts and Giselle is on the phone with Ashley and she's on her way over to Karen's house to pick her up because Karen hasn't been out of the house for a month. So she picks her up and they're going for a ride and they go and as they're going for a ride they see a deer.

We Wine Whenever (03:09.511)
Hahaha

We Wine Whenever (03:28.147)
That's what I mean, they're doubling down on the deer! They're doubling down on their inaccuracy! Bravo, do better!

We Wine Whenever (03:30.545)
Exactly!

We Wine Whenever (03:37.096)
I know, I know. And then we find out that I didn't realize it was Karen's second DUI.

We Wine Whenever (03:43.825)
I didn't either. I did not either. But it's not like she was trying to hide that because apparently, you know, they flashed back and she admitted on camera on a prior season. but I didn't, that didn't click with me.

We Wine Whenever (03:58.438)
No, and I will let you know too that she did say on Watch What Happens Live, obviously she can't talk about it because it's still, it's still in the courts. It has not been settled yet, but she is saying that we will find out like the truth. She's expecting to be exonerated. But I do know that every guilty person says that, but I am a whole.

We Wine Whenever (04:21.073)
Every housewife says it. Every housewife says, I can't wait to be vindicated and everybody to see the truth. And nine times out of 10, it does not happen. So maybe you'll be the 10 out of 10.

We Wine Whenever (04:28.419)
Right. I know. So we'll see. We'll wait and see what happens. Listen, I would like for her to be the one out of 10 that is vindicated, right? Let's, let's hope for that. I don't know. So they, go to breakfast and you know, Giselle says she wants to make sure she's okay. And you know, she's known Karen for a long time and they, were friends. And I really think it's because she's lost Robin and she needs somebody who's going to be her friend. So.

We Wine Whenever (04:41.147)
Right, right. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (04:57.309)
Well, 100%, but I do love them together when they get. I do love Karen and Giselle when they get along, and I like Giselle much better when she and Karen are getting along. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (04:59.752)
I do.

We Wine Whenever (05:05.544)
I do too, I do too. And you know, she does go on to try and ask Karen questions when she saw all the citations. Yeah, she did say that that's not the Karen that she knows and that, you know, Karen is saying that her emotional state is what led to the accident. She's alluding to her issues with Ray. And then she alludes to the death of her parents that were like in 2019 or something. I don't know, was years ago.

We Wine Whenever (05:14.141)
Karen looked very bothered by that.

We Wine Whenever (05:35.611)
Yeah, I think it's just a lot of things compounded, but she doesn't care and look very tiny and I'm not in any way trying to judge the way she looks. I'm just saying it does look like maybe stress is getting to her. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (05:46.961)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (05:53.124)
It could be. It definitely could be. And she tells her that she wants to plan the birthday lunch for her. Prior to that, the owner of the breakfast place comes over and Karen orders the Karen special because she goes there all the time and then Giselle gets the same thing. And then he feels the need to tell Giselle that, you know, Karen has never had a drink at his establishment. And Giselle's like, well, you don't serve alcohol.

sir. And then he goes, I know that. And he points to another table where, you know, it's a bring your own and people are drinking. And I agree with her. I think that that was a plant. So she's talking to no, no, we wouldn't. And you know what? We wouldn't expect anything less of the shade that Giselle was giving to. Right. So Karen says that she wants her friend Stacey to be invited.

We Wine Whenever (06:30.503)
Very staged, very, very staged.

We Wine Whenever (06:36.281)
we would expect nothing less from the Grand Dame.

We Wine Whenever (06:44.677)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (06:51.829)
and you know, that she's a host from QBC, ex-host from QBC.

We Wine Whenever (06:56.711)
Is she your new housewife? we know? Has that like confirmed?

We Wine Whenever (07:00.005)
I I don't know that it's confirmed yet. And yeah, that's what it seems like, right? That's what I got the impression of. And then we see Mia and G and the kids and they're getting ice cream and you know, she wants her children to have a good relationship with the father. And we, you know, we said that and he's now living in her building, which again can be a little bit awkward, but at least he's getting to see the kids every day. And I think that's a good thing.

We Wine Whenever (07:01.595)
It seems like they're trying her out and I guess Vivian. Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (07:26.855)
Yeah, and I don't blame him for not wanting this guy to bring his kid for a haircut.

We Wine Whenever (07:31.832)
I don't either, but if it is, yeah, if it is his kid, you know?

We Wine Whenever (07:34.661)
I know. We're talking eternity again.

We Wine Whenever (07:43.763)
I think she should let this go, man. Don't do the paternity test.

We Wine Whenever (07:48.737)
Well, listen, I think that he's entitled to know. I think he's entitled to know. Maybe I wouldn't have done it on camera, but...

We Wine Whenever (07:52.901)
I know. I feel bad for G though.

We Wine Whenever (07:59.367)
but like where's this guy been for 11 years? this kid's 11 years old and G's been taking care of him so like where you been?

We Wine Whenever (08:04.963)
Well, she broke it off with him.

We Wine Whenever (08:09.117)
But if you really thought that that was your kid, even though the girlfriend breaks up with you, who's married to somebody else, wouldn't you push for a paternity test back then? Why are you waiting until she's on TV now?

We Wine Whenever (08:22.967)
Well, I think it's because she at the reunion said that she knew it was geez because she was inseminated through IUI. So, you know, that was her assumption. you know, maybe she was firm with that about him. Like, listen, no, this is, you know, Gordon's baby. I was inseminated through IUI. Now having been inseminated myself through IUI, I do know how it works. And it,

We Wine Whenever (08:45.681)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (08:52.79)
could if they were sleeping together at the time she was inseminated, it could very well be his, you know? Right, right.

We Wine Whenever (08:59.399)
Right, it could have just happened without her knowing.

Ugh, it's so sticky though.

We Wine Whenever (09:06.014)
It is, it really is. is. And then, I mean, then they were throwing a lot of shade around ink about how short he is and how Mia's always trying to stand behind him to put pictures. They were funny. They were funny. Yeah, exactly. And then we see Ashley meets with her attorney and then it's been two years since she's been separated. And now she's finally ready to go forward with a divorce, which I'm glad to hear.

We Wine Whenever (09:16.179)
Those pictures were funny though.

We Wine Whenever (09:22.355)
Well whatever, he makes her happy.

We Wine Whenever (09:36.881)
to hear it too, because I think a lot of people thought that she wasn't really divorcing Michael and it was just that he didn't want to be on the show anymore because of all the allegations against him. So this leads me to believe that and I never cared if that's what her gig was, but this leads me to believe that that's not the truth.

We Wine Whenever (09:50.921)
Right.

Exactly, exactly. And she pretty much tells her attorney that, you know, the attorney says we can get mediation date and, you know, move forward this with this and asked us like the main thing she wants is custody. And that's good. I mean, I'm glad that that's what she's, you know, sticking with because that's what she should be concerned about is the kids. And obviously they're his children. He obviously has money and he's not going to not take care of his children.

We Wine Whenever (09:55.592)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (10:19.679)
And let them like what she said I want them in their house. So I don't know if that means like she'll leave and Michael like you know they have the like the nesting. Where whoever the caretaking parent is stays at the house with them.

We Wine Whenever (10:28.627)
Right? Or...

We Wine Whenever (10:32.744)
I think though she wants primary custody and I think she wants to keep the house because the house is in the LLC, remember? And he's paying the mortgage so I think she wants that LLC turned over to her. That's what I got out of that. Then we see Wendy is unpacking boxes of stuff from her work office because she's going to finally resign as a professor.

We Wine Whenever (10:41.061)
that's right, that's right.

We Wine Whenever (10:46.949)
Mm. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (10:59.601)
A happy Eddie dispensary must have really took off.

We Wine Whenever (11:02.949)
Yes, it must have. He had his shirt on, He was repping his company.

We Wine Whenever (11:07.359)
I love that guy. He's one of my favorite house husbands. Yeah, for sure. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (11:10.331)
Is he? Yeah, I like him too. I like him too. And I thought it was interesting that, you know, she, once she sent the email on camera, I don't know that that was real, but whatever. She wanted us to think it was.

We Wine Whenever (11:22.929)
Well, don't you think you would send your letter of resignation via email before you packed up your office and took all your stuff home?

We Wine Whenever (11:28.262)
Yes, yes, yes, I do. That's 100 % what I was thinking.

We Wine Whenever (11:31.481)
Wasn't anybody a little curious as to why you were walking out with all of your belongings? Yeah. The sequence of events was backwards.

We Wine Whenever (11:35.035)
All your stuff? Right, exactly. Exactly what I thought.

Yep. And then she's still fearful of what her mom will do when she hears what she did. And we knew that because she tried to bring it up to her two seasons ago.

We Wine Whenever (11:46.791)
Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (11:51.217)
Yeah, her mom's a strong-headed woman.

We Wine Whenever (11:54.268)
Yep. So then we see Karen go shopping at her friend Vivian's store and their mutual friend Stacey meets them there. And Stacey's the one who used to be the host on QVC. And the three of them have been friends for quite some time and they all met through Karen. Then Karen notices that Stacey is not wearing her ring and she calls her out on it.

We Wine Whenever (12:05.555)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (12:19.56)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (12:20.434)
and stacey says that she's been separated for over a year

We Wine Whenever (12:25.319)
Which makes sense because in the beginning I'm like, why do they keep blurring out her husband's face? Did you notice that? Every time they showed a picture of her with her daughter and her husband, his face was blurred out. I mean, I thought, maybe he just doesn't want to be on camera, but you remember Gina's husband wasn't on camera their whole first season. Like before they even mentioned separation, but now we know why his face was blurred out.

We Wine Whenever (12:31.186)
No, I didn't.

We Wine Whenever (12:37.223)
to not.

We Wine Whenever (12:44.825)
Right.

Right.

We Wine Whenever (12:51.824)
There you go. And that they'd been married for 16 years, which is a long time. I mean, and her.

We Wine Whenever (12:58.821)
It is a long time. I wonder what happened. I wonder if we'll ever find out. Because she doesn't really say, right?

We Wine Whenever (13:05.859)
She doesn't say, but I think maybe we might find out. guess we'll have to kind of wait and see. and then Stacy realizes that they're, you know, they're the two of them, her and Vivian are drinking champagne and she's like, no, like we shouldn't be doing this in front of you. And Karen's like, no, no, it's fine. And then Giselle gets ready for Karen's party. It's the attitude, attitude.

We Wine Whenever (13:31.709)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (13:34.283)
and she bought hats for all the ladies and she brought her shady hats there too, being, you know, Shady Giselle. Yep. Yep. She brings up that her and Wendy are not in the best place, but she did invite her and that since her father passed away suddenly five months ago, that she kind of has a new lease on life that she's, you know,

We Wine Whenever (13:40.627)
Giselle, messy Gizzy.

We Wine Whenever (14:00.982)
letting things go, which I can understand. mean, if that's really, you know, why she's letting it go, I get that, you know?

We Wine Whenever (14:09.021)
think it's a combination of both things that you just said. The one thing about her dad, because of course that will always put things in perspective. And also that she doesn't have Rob in here. she needs to, you know, Ashley can't be her only alliance. Because them two together, they do not execute the plan. NECA was a major fail. And they planned that whole thing.

We Wine Whenever (14:15.64)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (14:23.266)
Right, right.

We Wine Whenever (14:30.784)
yeah, no, NECA was not, no, that was not good. Not good at all.

We Wine Whenever (14:35.431)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, so they cannot execute a a plan.

We Wine Whenever (14:39.618)
right and then we see me as friend jackal and there and i was surprised to see her there because i didn't realize that they were back together you know that's

We Wine Whenever (14:49.107)
Okay, so Jaclyn's the one that she grew up with, right? And then they fell out. Yeah, so we didn't even know that they were back on good terms.

We Wine Whenever (14:51.82)
Yes. Mm-hmm. Yes.

We Wine Whenever (14:58.463)
No, that's why I was surprised to see her there. And at first I thought she was there like to be shady, you know? I thought that they weren't on good terms and all of a sudden she's there. But.

We Wine Whenever (15:07.409)
Yes, I agree. I thought the same thing, but then at the end when Mia needed her, she got right up and ran after her.

We Wine Whenever (15:14.122)
Yes, yes. And then we meet Jazzy, Jazzy, what, Jazzy. And she was an international flight attendant and now she's settling down because of her man. And they ask her, you know, what does he do? Well, he's, yeah, so he's in the NFL on the Chiefs, Darius Harris, and of

We Wine Whenever (15:19.431)
Jassi.

We Wine Whenever (15:31.325)
What does he do for a living? he's on the Super Bowl.

We Wine Whenever (15:37.971)
Hmm

We Wine Whenever (15:42.755)
course, they're like, my God, did you meet? Well, actually, was Wendy said that. Did you meet Taylor Swift? And she's like, Yes. we'll talk about that later.

We Wine Whenever (15:51.867)
Yeah, who cares if you met Taylor Swift? Jesus Lord Almighty. I did just read that they're engaged. Jassy and Darius.

We Wine Whenever (15:55.82)
Yeah.

okay. I thought we were gonna say Taylor Swift.

We Wine Whenever (16:02.575)
no, no, please. If they got engaged, I think we'd all know it by now. We'd probably have flags at half point or something.

We Wine Whenever (16:04.76)
I think so too.

And I don't think he would do in the middle of football season. So that's good. I'm glad that they're engaged. Good for them. I think they're a cute couple. I think they're a cute couple. It's interesting to me though that he's on the Chiefs and they're settling down in Potomac.

We Wine Whenever (16:13.991)
Probably not.

We Wine Whenever (16:18.801)
Yeah, yeah they are.

We Wine Whenever (16:26.983)
Potomac, I thought the same thing.

We Wine Whenever (16:29.427)
Like, how does that happen? But supposedly, she is friends with Mia, right? I wonder if she really is friends with Mia. I don't know. I guess we'll find out maybe.

We Wine Whenever (16:36.69)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (16:42.328)
Yeah, we'll see the dynamic. I mean, she's not a housewife, is she? She's just a friend of.

We Wine Whenever (16:47.607)
I don't know. She might, I don't know. Like they may be trying her out too, to be honest with you.

We Wine Whenever (16:51.877)
It's probably like the three they brought on Jersey and they're just kind of feeling it out. So we'll see.

We Wine Whenever (16:57.023)
Yeah, I mean, an NFL husband would be, you know, a good draw, right?

We Wine Whenever (16:59.187)
Mmm.

We Wine Whenever (17:02.717)
For sure.

We Wine Whenever (17:04.692)
So then Karen's a little bit late to the party because it's her party and she should arrive when she wants to, fashionably late. And Giselle said, anyone spoken to Karen? And Jacqueline's like, well, she talks to her on the phone. And then Mia says, well, you said she was drunk when she called you. And Jacqueline seemed like, I didn't expect you to say that.

We Wine Whenever (17:11.067)
Yeah, yeah, of course.

We Wine Whenever (17:25.711)
Yeah, she did. And then she kind of backpedaled a little bit and was like, well, she could have been a little tipsy.

We Wine Whenever (17:27.8)
and shh.

Right, exactly, exactly. And then we find out from Wendy that many years ago, her and Stacey sat on the same board. So she's crossed paths with her, but you know, they don't really know each other. Then Karen shows up and Giselle says she had these hats made by a designer for them, which I was surprised about that. And all the hats have different names.

We Wine Whenever (17:44.733)
All

We Wine Whenever (17:56.849)
Me too. Looked like they could have came off of Amazon.

We Wine Whenever (18:00.967)
They do, because they all looked very similar, right? All the hats have different names and the names are based on who's, what woman is going to get the hat. So of course the first hat is going to Karen and it's called the Hollywood and Karen is happy to have the Hollywood. And I don't know why she said this about it was her opportunity to find out who my real friends are.

We Wine Whenever (18:03.666)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (18:29.117)
and I don't want any fake bitches around me. Like, I don't know where that came from, like out of the blue.

We Wine Whenever (18:35.315)
She probably heard some stuff on the streets that people were talking about her. That's probably, I mean, that's what I would think. But why were they like, and now you have to answer questions? No, she doesn't. It's her birthday lunch. She doesn't have to answer any of your questions. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (18:39.431)
Yeah, I'm sure that's it.

We Wine Whenever (18:48.808)
Right.

Well, that was again, that was Giselle. And even Giselle, when she made up the drink menu, she had the, you know, the, the drinks, the Surrey County something, and then the other, and then the, the 61, and then the, the non-alcohol, the non-alcoholic Grand Dame. And Karen's like, I'll have an iced tea. She didn't order any of her drinks. Again, that's Giselle being shady.

We Wine Whenever (19:02.195)
61.

We Wine Whenever (19:06.129)
grown down.

Right.

We Wine Whenever (19:13.02)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (19:17.361)
Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (19:20.98)
The next hat is the cowgirl hat and that goes to Ashley because she took all the girls to Texas.

We Wine Whenever (19:28.813)
when Giselle was like, and she had so many cowgirl outfits and then they keep flashing her outfits. like, that didn't look like a cowgirl outfit. That didn't look like a cowgirl outfit. But I'm sure in Texas, so she did her best. She did better than I would have, that's for sure.

We Wine Whenever (19:33.777)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (19:38.547)
Yeah, exactly.

We Wine Whenever (19:48.307)
So then Ashley and Janelle are, Giselle, Giselle are making an announcement about their company, G &A. And they're, yeah. I know she's.

We Wine Whenever (19:57.255)
Wendy is so funny. She's like, gee, and hey, what are we fusing? There's nothing to fuse. The stuff on the runway wasn't even on their website. And by the way, they had a runway show for their stuff?

We Wine Whenever (20:11.388)
Don't you remember it was like right when Giselle's father was sick and Ashley had to put it all together and the big fight that happened there.

We Wine Whenever (20:18.518)
that's right, that's right.

gosh, that's when that happened! Okay, okay, okay. Wow, yes, I do remember that.

We Wine Whenever (20:23.767)
Yes, yes. Yes, yes.

Yeah, so we don't really know what the GNA fusion is, right? We'll have to wait and see to be determined.

We Wine Whenever (20:34.311)
We don't. I mean, they did show on the website, like there were hats and maybe like a hoodie or something. I mean, if they're doing athletic wear, athleisure wear, then that's, that's the route you want to go. Yoga pants, legging, hoodie, Yeah. That's why when they flashed to a runway show, I'm like, what is that? But I forgot about that whole thing.

We Wine Whenever (20:48.975)
Right. Well, that's what they were doing already. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (20:56.079)
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

The next hat is called the King and that one is perfect for Mia. And then they start talking about Mia's new boyfriend, Inc. No, we really didn't get past this hat and how Karen feels the need to tell Mia that she's worried about G and Giselle jumps in on that bandwagon too.

We Wine Whenever (21:13.203)
because we didn't get past this hat.

We Wine Whenever (21:29.782)
And they really put her on blast. And honestly, I don't think that was their place to do that.

We Wine Whenever (21:35.077)
It wasn't. And listen, whatever they said about G, like I felt bad for G too, you know. But when Giselle said you didn't protect your children, you can't you don't say that to a mother. You don't say that to a mother unless they are. Listen, you don't ever say that to a mother. If there is a mother that is, you know, blatantly negligent and you feel the need to say something. OK, but she's not.

We Wine Whenever (21:48.138)
No, no you do not.

We Wine Whenever (22:04.167)
She's not, and she's taken care of her kids, and that was wrong of Giselle. And she should have apologized right then and there once she realized, and I'm so happy Wendy spoke up and said, listen, that's crossing the line.

We Wine Whenever (22:04.172)
No, no.

We Wine Whenever (22:08.816)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (22:19.917)
Yeah, no, was, that was not their place to mention. And that's when Jacqueline speaks up and she's like, listen, you know, I've met Inc. He's a great guy and she thinks he's very good for Mia. And that this is what I thought was odd, that Gordon and Mia's relationship was more like a business relationship. And Mia was married for 11 years. But again,

We Wine Whenever (22:23.538)
No.

We Wine Whenever (22:48.313)
They don't know what the relationship was. And they were separated for a year before she got back with Inc. And Gordon was mean to her. He was abusive to her. And he's admitted that because he he said it last season and he said it again this season. I mean, he was diagnosed with bipolar. She's helping him out. Inc is helping him out. You know, they don't.

We Wine Whenever (23:03.165)
Right, he did say he wasn't nice, wasn't, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (23:16.726)
have to be doing this. She wants this to work for her family. And for them to come at her like that, specifically Karen and Giselle, it was not right. It was not right. It was not right.

We Wine Whenever (23:20.413)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (23:26.799)
No, I totally agree. I totally agree. So she got up and who followed her? I Jacqueline followed her. Did her other friend, Jassy?

We Wine Whenever (23:34.701)
Jacqueline and Vivian and Stacey followed her. And Wendy's still back at the table saying that we shouldn't be attacking her as a mother. All of us here are mothers. And I think she's probably going to come back to the table, listen, it was wrong on so many levels. someone also said, when she said, Inc, one of them said, and I don't know which one of them said,

We Wine Whenever (23:39.539)
We Wine Whenever (24:05.009)
has has Jacqueline tried him out yet?

We Wine Whenever (24:08.839)
Yeah, somebody said that I forget who.

We Wine Whenever (24:11.222)
I don't know who said that either. Again, throwing shade. Yes. Exactly. She's like, is this what they do here?

We Wine Whenever (24:13.457)
And that Stacey was like, damn, like what did I just walk into?

We Wine Whenever (24:23.015)
Welcome to Housewives, Stacey. You should have tuned in.

We Wine Whenever (24:23.66)
Right. And that's when Mia said the only one that knows what's going, what was going on through this whole time is Jacqueline. Cause Jacqueline's her friend and they, you know, they've been friends for a long time. So listen, I'm glad that, you know, she had her back and when they showed the scenes of like what's coming up for the season, it looks like a lot of drama, which is really what we expect from the Housewives.

We Wine Whenever (24:34.727)
Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (24:51.815)
Yes. As long as it doesn't get, you know, downright dirty and nasty and, you know, legal threats. Leave the kids out of it. No, don't be threatening anybody. I'll tell you what, though, this episode went by so quick and that's what I want. Like, I was like, wow, like, because I'm watching it on my DVR, so I'm fast forwarding to the commercials.

We Wine Whenever (25:00.66)
Yeah. And leave the kids out of it, please.

We Wine Whenever (25:13.099)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (25:18.993)
And then you see how much time's left. I'm like, wow, like that's it? That's all I got left? Like it went by quick. And I love that. What I told you. And those Mormon wives episodes, sometimes I feel like they're three hours long. I'm like, when is this over? And OC, OC is not as bad, but this flew by. I'm like, this is great. This is good housewives content.

We Wine Whenever (25:33.769)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (25:43.647)
It was good too because it was kind of straightforward. They weren't going back and forth, you know, with the exception of the stupid beginning where they did the reenactment. It was, and I don't like that when they do that, go back and forth.

We Wine Whenever (25:52.338)
You're right.

You're right. They didn't do that. A couple of flashbacks, like when Karen was talking about her first DUI, just a couple, but not bad at all. They weren't going from this conversation with Karen and Giselle to this conversation with Ashley and Wendy and back and forth. Ocie's been doing that a lot. Like as if these conversations are happening simultaneously and we all know they're not.

We Wine Whenever (25:57.917)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (26:02.61)
Right. Right.

We Wine Whenever (26:16.179)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (26:23.027)
I wonder if it's the production companies. I wonder, so I don't know who Potomac's production company is. We'll have to check it out and see. They do, they do. It is interesting. Yeah, because I know Atlantis, what was Atlantis? It was something, I can't remember. One of them, think Beverly Hills and OC might be Shed Media.

We Wine Whenever (26:26.033)
Yeah, that's what I think.

We Wine Whenever (26:32.241)
Yeah. they all have different production companies? That's interesting.

We Wine Whenever (26:52.272)
Yeah, Atlanta's was different. know that they do have different production companies. So that could be how they do it. We'll have to look and see which shows have which production companies and do a comparison. Maybe we'll do that on our next episode and see what we think about that. So I did want to mention, I'm done with Potomac for now. Anything else, Potomac? That they did film the OC's reunion.

We Wine Whenever (26:56.37)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (27:12.081)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (27:17.311)
yeah, no, good, good.

We Wine Whenever (27:22.082)
on Sunday and it came out that some footage has been leaked by the glam of one of the cast members, which it is so stupid. These should be closed sets, first of all. They should be closed sets.

We Wine Whenever (27:34.195)
That stupid.

We Wine Whenever (27:39.379)
Yeah, I mean, and you know, these housewives bring you on.

because they obviously trust you. So you go and do something like that, like it was Emily's you said, right? Emily's glam. We think allegedly.

We Wine Whenever (27:47.303)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (27:51.815)
And it was either Emily's or Gina's, one of the two.

We Wine Whenever (27:55.667)
Okay, one of them. But now you're putting those housewives in a bad spot.

We Wine Whenever (28:00.261)
Yes, yes you are.

We Wine Whenever (28:01.907)
because they certainly didn't tell you to do that.

We Wine Whenever (28:04.219)
Right, right.

We Wine Whenever (28:06.515)
So, like, you know, and you're never gonna be invited back now, so then really why would you do it? Like, this is a cash cow for you.

We Wine Whenever (28:08.187)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (28:16.593)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (28:19.101)
I don't get it.

We Wine Whenever (28:20.079)
I don't get it either. I don't get it either, it makes no sense to me.

We Wine Whenever (28:24.155)
No, you're just shooting yourself in the foot.

We Wine Whenever (28:26.797)
Mm-hmm. So I am looking forward to that. I'm actually looking forward to OC being over because like we said, we're, you know, a little sick of it. And now.

We Wine Whenever (28:35.899)
It's it's it's you know why? Because it's all about Shannon and Alexis and John. And like we said last week, like a little bit of the Tamra and Ryan thing. It's just it's played out the Alexis and John Alexis and Shannon's ex. Bang. We're over it. And I really, really. Did you see Tamra came out? I don't know. I'm in the middle of her podcast with Margaret.

We Wine Whenever (28:42.544)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (28:52.678)
That's right. Yes, we are.

We Wine Whenever (29:06.065)
I didn't realize that they were recapping the recapping housewives. I guess Salt Lake City in New York.

We Wine Whenever (29:11.554)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (29:15.12)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (29:16.907)
And but Tamra's I don't know where Tamra said it, but she hopes that Alexis gets a full time spot next season. I'm thinking you better hope you still got your full time spot next season.

We Wine Whenever (29:29.317)
I will tell you all the comments on our social media posts. All of them are anti-Tamara. She's not coming back Tamrat. I mean, there is not one pro-Tamara comment on our post, not one. And that's, that's not normal. Seriously, there's always, you know, there's always one.

We Wine Whenever (29:33.339)
I know.

We Wine Whenever (29:44.261)
I have not seen one. I really haven't seen one.

We Wine Whenever (29:52.6)
that's a little bit more popular than the other, to see so much against her, very surprised. I mean, I'm not surprised because of the way she's acting.

We Wine Whenever (30:01.649)
they brought her back, quite honestly. I'm like you, I never liked her. I thought she came in way too hot. I think she changed the whole trajectory of these shows. I think she started the nastiness and the bitterness and trying to stab Gretchen in the back. She had it out for Gretchen right away because Gretchen was younger and prettier and her fiance was loaded. And I think Tamra gunned for her from the beginning.

She changed the show for the worst.

We Wine Whenever (30:30.69)
Yeah.

Yeah, I agree with you. I agree with you.

We Wine Whenever (30:37.405)
and let me just clarify because we got a lot of heat. Well, I got a lot of heat for what I said about Teresa's cooking post on TikTok. I'm well aware of people that Teresa has cookbooks and that she's been cooking for a long time. I've been watching How's Wife since season one, sake.

But my point was that I had never, and I'm on TikTok often for the podcast. You know, all three of us, Lori included, try to respond to people where all three of us are always checking our social media. And part of that's TikTok. I'm on TikTok often. And most of our reels that come up are Bravo based. I have never seen Teresa post a video of herself cooking

We Wine Whenever (31:08.897)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (31:28.133)
on TikTok until after Melissa and Joe had posted a couple. That was my point. I know she cooks. Somebody said she has a cooking channel on YouTube. That could very well be true. I didn't know that. But my point was I had never seen her on TikTok before until Melissa and Joe posted a couple and Caroline Manzo was on the Good Morning America cooking. So listen, I stand corrected if she's been on camera cooking recently.

We Wine Whenever (31:49.974)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (31:54.316)
On TikTok, on TikTok.

We Wine Whenever (31:55.631)
on TikTok. That was my point. It was on TikTok and I had never seen it before. But listen, Teresa's got those loyal fans. will, they will, you know, go down in flames for her.

We Wine Whenever (31:57.877)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (32:08.908)
She does have loyal fans. And the other one I saw that there was a lot of mixed emotion on is Caroline Manzo. People either loved Caroline Manzo or they did not love her, because I don't like to use that other word. But there was no middle ground with Caroline Manzo either.

We Wine Whenever (32:16.508)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (32:25.339)
I think, and I've always been a Caroline fan, she reminds me of my mother, that, you know, we ride or die for our family mentality. But I think what happened, and honestly, it kind of brought her down a couple of notches for me too, I didn't realize that she had written the character witness letter for her brother-in-law, and then he was found guilty. I mean,

We Wine Whenever (32:44.331)
letters.

We Wine Whenever (32:50.847)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (32:51.379)
I would like to believe that Caroline and Dolores, because I think she wrote one also, I would like to believe that they truly felt in their heart that he was innocent and are as shocked as everybody else that they were guilty.

We Wine Whenever (33:04.834)
Yeah, I would too. And I think I had mentioned it that her sister-in-law Jacqueline was on a podcast and it was brought up, but it may have been all about the lies. And she said that she did not expect, like, you know, she did not expect him to be found guilty.

We Wine Whenever (33:15.153)
Yeah, that's it. That's the one.

We Wine Whenever (33:24.881)
Yeah, I would imagine that they're all pretty floored over that.

We Wine Whenever (33:28.608)
Yeah, I would too.

We Wine Whenever (33:30.557)
But nonetheless, I understand we're fans. you know, listen, we're Bravo fans. go, we ride hard for our favorites and our non-favorites, you know? So I could see why people, if you're a Dina fan, you are very against Caroline right now. Knowing that. Yeah. Yeah. But to find that out, like that's, you know, but again.

We Wine Whenever (33:41.046)
Yes, yes.

We Wine Whenever (33:49.947)
you've been against Caroline for a long time though, if you were a fan, because, you know.

We Wine Whenever (33:59.365)
But we hope that Caroline truly thought in her heart that he was innocent and that's why she did that.

We Wine Whenever (34:05.93)
Yeah, yeah, exactly.

We Wine Whenever (34:08.677)
It's just a shame though that they'll probably never get past this and never have their sister relationship back after that. If they ever were going to anyway. Yeah, I don't know.

We Wine Whenever (34:17.589)
No, it is a shame.

Yeah, no, it is sad. I think anytime family breaks up, it's sad because family's family, you know?

We Wine Whenever (34:29.009)
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you know, you can go through your phases not talking, talking, but I don't know. It's something about this feels very final.

We Wine Whenever (34:40.608)
No, I agree with that. I do.

We Wine Whenever (34:42.397)
But honestly, I don't believe that about Teresa and Joe Gorgia either. Like I, I really think that and I could get some shit for this too and I'll take it. But I really think if Louie were out of the picture and, she needed her brother and expressed that she needed her brother, he would be there for her. I don't know what that would do to his marriage with Melissa because I could understand her not wanting that, but I think he would.

We Wine Whenever (35:12.044)
I agree with you 100 % that he would be there for his sister if she needed him. He would, because that's who he is. And I also think that Melissa knowing who her husband is would be able to get, absolutely, absolutely. Like that's just, you know, you know who you married. You know who you married, she knows who he is. She wouldn't want him to be anybody else. And you know.

We Wine Whenever (35:18.835)
Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (35:24.711)
would just support him. Yep. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (35:38.515)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (35:39.444)
So we'll have to wait and see how that turns out.

We Wine Whenever (35:41.969)
Yeah, hopefully everybody can make amends one day before it's too late.

We Wine Whenever (35:44.78)
That would be nice. Mm-hmm. I agree. Well, thank you for watching and listening to We Wine Whenever. Until next time.

We Wine Whenever (35:48.723)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (35:54.483)
Bye.
