We Wine Whenever (00:00.994)
Hi, welcome to We Wine Whenever. I'm Wendy. Today we are talking about the Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, Episode Number 2. And it is called Double Trouble. We start out kind of where we ended off at the birthday lunch with Mia was in the bathroom crying. And yeah, and Jazzy, Stacey, and Jacqueline were in there with her because Karen and Giselle were going after her about how she was parenting.

We Wine Whenever (00:03.486)
I'm Kelly.

We Wine Whenever (00:30.623)
and what was going on between her and her ex-G, which really was not their place to be talking about.

We Wine Whenever (00:37.289)
To me, mean, mean, Giselle mainly because that's not your friend. Like Karen brought Mia on, so they had like a relationship established, but in my opinion right now, Karen should be minding her own business about everybody. I know they're filming a show, but I don't know. I feel like Shannon handled her DUI. I feel like Shannon was much more humble than Karen is right now, right?

We Wine Whenever (01:05.591)
Definitely. definitely. Definitely.

We Wine Whenever (01:08.617)
Like who is Karen to be pointing fingers at anybody right now?

We Wine Whenever (01:13.131)
No, I totally agree. And there was something on, I think it was Facebook where they showed all the other housewives that have gotten DUIs in the past and none of them have been dragged the way Shannon has. None of them.

We Wine Whenever (01:24.292)
I believe it.

We Wine Whenever (01:26.92)
And I agreed. Shannon came in humble and owned her stuff, you know, and that's what you can do.

We Wine Whenever (01:34.601)
Do you know, and I know this is OC, so I'm sorry, I just wanna say this real quick. I read where Tamara said that Shannon should be thankful that Alexis came on the show so everybody wasn't focusing on her alcohol problem and DUI. And I thought, what is she talking about? Tamara brought that up every opportunity she got. it wasn't like they didn't address it. Of course they addressed it and...

We Wine Whenever (01:57.001)
Yes, you did.

We Wine Whenever (02:03.007)
Tamra kept bringing it up, so what is she talking about? I'm starting to worry about Tamra. Like, I'm starting to worry that she's like, she's got some issues where our reality is not the same as her reality. Like, I think she really believes herself. And that's Cuckoo.

We Wine Whenever (02:06.077)
No, I did see that.

We Wine Whenever (02:19.938)
she definitely believes herself. It is, 100 % it is Cuckoo. It's crazy.

We Wine Whenever (02:24.905)
Yeah.

All right, back to Potomac.

We Wine Whenever (02:28.35)
Yeah. So Wendy's at the table while they're still in the bathroom and she's telling Karen and Giselle that, you know, them questioning the way Mia is mothering her children is absolutely not their place to do. Then Giselle decides she's going to move on because she's got her hats to give out and, you know, too bad that Mia's crying in the bathroom. So she gives Wendy the bucket hat.

and it represents where she's been and that they're gonna get together tomorrow so that those two can have a little sit down and see if they can move past their differences. It's basically because Giselle doesn't have a buddy anymore and she's gonna need to be friends with somebody other than Karen and Ashley, because Ashley's still our friend.

We Wine Whenever (03:08.061)
Yes.

And then she proceeds to start schooling Wendy on how she should not be so demeaning when she speaks to and about other people. Giselle, Giselle's gonna school somebody on that. She is the shadiest of them all.

We Wine Whenever (03:18.302)
Yes. Yes. Yes.

Yes, she is. And then Stacey and Jazzy come back to the table and Giselle gives them the Derby hat because they're new to the group and she's welcoming them to the Derby. Then a little bit later, Mia and Jacqueline come back and she also gives Jacqueline the Derby hat. And Giselle and Karen do apologize to Mia, but listen, Mia handled it fine at that point. It was a little bit too late and

We Wine Whenever (03:50.313)
Yes, she did.

We Wine Whenever (03:53.821)
You know, the apology in my opinion wasn't enough. And then next we see Karen's, we're at Karen's house and Ray is making coffee. Guess just to get a little Ray sighting, I don't really know what the point of that was. I like Ray. And then over at Mia's house, we see her talking to her son, Jeremiah and her daughter, Juju. And they're talking about the summer's coming. Then Giselle meets up with Wendy for lunch.

We Wine Whenever (04:06.205)
I don't either, but I do love Ray, so I like the same.

We Wine Whenever (04:22.554)
Let me just say this, and I don't like to comment about people's looks, and it's not really about her look, it's just about her fashion choices. Wendy shows up with that crop top with her boobs hanging out and the big white feathers for a day lunch, even if it was dinner, not the appropriate attire.

We Wine Whenever (04:42.985)
Probably not, listen, if you're going out to the club with your husband, okay. Like I think that Wendy, it feels very snatched right now. I think she put a lot of effort into her body, so she wants to show it off. But I agree with you. It's probably not the appropriate look for a lunch with a friend during the day in the sunlight.

We Wine Whenever (05:00.039)
It was a little much, right. Yeah, it just was a little long. It was a little much to see and to see her like her boobs out. It just was too much for me. Yeah. I mean, you could even see Gisele's face. Like Gisele's like, the feathers. And then she said the feathers were, she said the feathers were that she was open, what did she say? Open arms, okay. Which okay.

We Wine Whenever (05:10.387)
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (05:25.083)
Open arms. She's there with open arms.

We Wine Whenever (05:33.37)
Giselle also then goes on to say, she's not coming to this conversation with any isms. She wants to hear what Wendy has to say. Wendy's criticizing Giselle and her eating her oysters, which I thought was hysterical. Like Giselle was not eating her oysters properly, according to Wendy.

We Wine Whenever (05:50.961)
It's a very sure thing you're supposed to suck the oysters out of the shell. But listen, I eat like buffalo chicken wings with a fork and a knife, because I don't want that shit all over my fingers. And Eric, you know, clowns on me all the time. So Gisele, you eat your oysters however you want to.

We Wine Whenever (05:54.084)
Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (06:03.525)
Yeah, no.

We Wine Whenever (06:10.372)
I agree. I agree, because I would not be eating chicken wings with... I don't like to eat with my hands. I don't like to get food underneath my nails.

We Wine Whenever (06:16.167)
Yeah, I'll slurp an oyster out of a shell or a clam, I, chicken wings I eat with a fork and knife.

We Wine Whenever (06:22.225)
Okay. So then Wendy says, I don't like the way you try to alienate people. And Giselle says, going forward, if I have a problem with you, I will tell you in the moment. And they kind of both agree that that's, you know, how they're going to move forward with their relationship instead of just, no, they probably won't. They probably won't.

We Wine Whenever (06:42.931)
think they're gonna have a problem now that Robin's gone. Right. Because like you said, she needs some allies, Giselle.

We Wine Whenever (06:49.165)
Yep.

We Wine Whenever (06:52.709)
So Giselle then asked Wendy how she felt about yesterday and Wendy said that she thinks that Mia is hurt more than she let on, which I agree. You I think she just let it go at that point. And Giselle once again starts throwing shade about Ink's height.

We Wine Whenever (07:08.937)
They can't let that shit go. They can't let that shit go.

We Wine Whenever (07:10.112)
It's like, come on, seriously? Like, that's what you gotta come up with? You can't just...

We Wine Whenever (07:16.049)
I mean, come on, leave the guy alone.

We Wine Whenever (07:20.28)
Then we see Stacey is talking to her daughter Arabella and their au pair. I mean, I didn't catch how old her daughter was, but she's got to be 10 or 11, right? Okay, so her au pair in Spanish, and she lets us know that her daughter is trilingual, which good for her, good for her. So we find out a little bit more about Stacey. So she's from Detroit, Michigan. She also lived in Philadelphia and the DC area. Now she's in Potomac.

We Wine Whenever (07:29.555)
Yeah, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (07:48.706)
Her husband is German, so they also have a house in Munich. I mean, listen, they are worldly, right?

We Wine Whenever (07:53.929)
That's awesome. Yeah, yeah. Did she say where she met him?

We Wine Whenever (08:01.005)
She did not say where she met him.

We Wine Whenever (08:02.719)
I was just curious. thought maybe I missed it. Okay

We Wine Whenever (08:05.288)
No, she said where she met her boyfriend, but she did not say where she met her husband.

We Wine Whenever (08:07.454)
Yes.

She does mention QVC a lot. I like that side apartment she's got though.

We Wine Whenever (08:12.213)
Yes, she does. She does. I do too. So she goes on to tell Ashley, because Ashley shows up there, and that her and her husband are still living together, but they do sleep in separate bedrooms.

We Wine Whenever (08:28.777)
Did you see the look on Ashley's face?

We Wine Whenever (08:30.626)
Yeah, and I'm like, why is Ashley judging that? She did the same thing. I know, I know.

We Wine Whenever (08:33.343)
She did the same thing! Like she should be supportive of it and be like, yeah girl, I get you.

We Wine Whenever (08:40.928)
Right, exactly. I was surprised that their daughter Annabel doesn't know what's going on because she's talking about Annabel going to Cabo with her dad on spring break. And she's, you know, quizzing her about the phone numbers. Do you know his phone number? You know, do you know my phone number? And that's when we find out that she's got that separate DC apartment, which listen, if that's what works for you, then that's what works for you. But the kid is 10 years old. She's got to figure it out.

We Wine Whenever (08:49.257)
Yeah, yeah, Arabella, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (09:07.933)
Doesn't she wonder why they're not all going on vacation together? Like, I guess she's just gonna say she's working, but isn't she not on QVC anymore? Didn't she leave QVC? Maybe she's got another gig.

We Wine Whenever (09:13.665)
It's working, right.

We Wine Whenever (09:20.181)
She did leave QVC and I'm sure she does have another gig, but I guess that's what they're gonna tell her, but she's gonna see the show. know, she's gonna see the show. So, okay, whatever works for you. And then we see Kiana, she goes over to Karen's. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (09:23.837)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (09:36.543)
Wait, real quick, I'm sorry. Why did Ashley say she identifies as a black woman when she's half white?

We Wine Whenever (09:44.424)
Okay, so we can go to that. yeah, no, that's all right. No, it was, it was, but I brought her. No, no, we can go to that because we'll go back to Kierna. So Ashley does go over and they start walking and she says to Ashley, you know, what is your nationality? And Ashley says, well, my dad is white and my mom is black. And she says, Stacey says, so you're biracial, just like Annabelle Arabella. And she said, I consider myself a black woman because she was raised around black people and

We Wine Whenever (09:46.826)
wait, I'm sorry, was that after?

We Wine Whenever (09:52.766)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (10:12.861)
because she is black and white, so she considers herself a black woman, which that makes perfect sense to me.

We Wine Whenever (10:18.249)
So she didn't really have a lot of exposure to her white side of the family, I guess. Got it. Okay.

We Wine Whenever (10:21.929)
Correct, correct. And then, then Stacey asks her, like, what do you consider your boys? And that's when she said, listen, it's kind of something we're working through because, where they go to school right now, their skin color is not that much different than their classmates who are white because Ashley is so light skinned. Well, and she's very light skinned and you know, her husband's from Australia, so.

We Wine Whenever (10:42.281)
boys are very fair. Her boys are very fair. Yep.

We Wine Whenever (10:48.777)
to the naked eye, they do not appear to be biracial or black. And, you know, they are not surrounded by, I guess, black people where they're going to school. The only black people that they are around is her family. So she wants to make sure that that's an important part of their life, which I get that. I mean, that's their, you know, that's their heritage. So I totally get that. And that's what Stacey talks about, that like she feels like her daughter is missing out on that because where she grew up,

We Wine Whenever (10:58.867)
Right.

Right.

We Wine Whenever (11:07.059)
Yeah, of course.

Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (11:18.227)
you know, she was surrounded by black people and you know, her family's yeah, and they're in Minnesota. So where she's at, you know, that's not what she's seeing. And she wants her to, you know, have that.

We Wine Whenever (11:22.185)
her whole family.

We Wine Whenever (11:31.28)
I think she's from Michigan, isn't she?

We Wine Whenever (11:33.406)
I put, was it Michigan? Detroit, Michigan, yes. Did I just say Minnesota? But yeah, Michigan, yeah, Detroit, Michigan. Michigan, Michigan. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, Michigan, Detroit, Michigan. So yeah, I get that she wants her to feel that, but she's the one who's gonna have to do it.

We Wine Whenever (11:38.237)
Yeah. Yeah, but that's all right. It's the MIs.

We Wine Whenever (11:51.761)
Yeah, because if your family's not around, like I can't even imagine, you know, my kids growing up without their cousins around. And that's extra pressure on you to make sure they spend time with them at some point, you know? You have to, like, she's gonna have to bring them there and, you know, have her around that side of the family, her side of the family. I mean, I don't imagine she sees her father's side of the family very often either if they're in Germany.

We Wine Whenever (11:57.863)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (12:05.969)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (12:11.91)
Yes, I-

We Wine Whenever (12:18.597)
Exactly. Yeah. I mean, but they do have a house in, they do have a house there. So, you know, maybe they do, they do vacation there. And then Ashley asks Stacey about the dating situation. And she says that, I'm going to be completely vulnerable. I love someone, but he's a devout Christian. So we are not intimate at all. And again, Ashley looks mortified like,

We Wine Whenever (12:19.538)
Right?

We Wine Whenever (12:22.877)
Yeah. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (12:43.88)
at the nerve.

We Wine Whenever (12:46.254)
what? Like, how are you doing this? She says, listen, you know, he, wants to wait until marriage. So it may be a year, like it's only been, and she's like, well, you see him as marriage material. And she's like, well, yeah, I do. And yeah. And another thing she's surprised by, because I guess she's seeing him as like a rebound, which, you know, I get, but if they're taking it slow and

We Wine Whenever (13:01.107)
Path we're on, yeah.

We Wine Whenever (13:12.701)
Yeah, they have plenty of time to find out. And if they're not intimate with each other, that's even better because it's less emotion involved.

We Wine Whenever (13:16.489)
Right. Yes.

Yes, I agree. I agree. And we find out how she met him that, you know, he was auditioning for QVC to be an on air host. I guess he got the job. I don't know. He must have. Right. And I guess it's probably better because, you know, their communication is, you know, over the phone or FaceTime or whatever when they're not together. So I guess that works. And just prior to that, Kearna goes over to Karen's house for her birthday.

We Wine Whenever (13:32.361)
I guess, but then she left.

We Wine Whenever (13:50.659)
And Karen says ever since the incident that happened at the runway show last year where she to wind up going to the hospital and Karen went with her in the ambulance to the hospital, she's gotten really close to her because she wasn't friends with her before. She was friends with Ashley, think, right?

We Wine Whenever (14:09.319)
No, she was friends with Wendy. think Wendy brought Kiarna on, didn't she? I can picture, I think I can picture Candice, Wendy, and sitting at a bar. And I think that's where Wendy introduced Kiarna. I could be wrong, but I don't know why I'm picturing that. Wait, she went after Candice? I thought it was, I thought it was the, and I'm not calling her this, but they called her this. I thought it was Ashley's friend that they call Big Bird.

We Wine Whenever (14:12.868)
Was it Wendy? I just know she was going for Candice.

We Wine Whenever (14:25.678)
Okay.

We Wine Whenever (14:37.789)
I thought that's who Kiana got into the fight with.

We Wine Whenever (14:41.836)
No

We Wine Whenever (14:42.259)
It wasn't Big Bird going after, and I'm sorry, going after Candice, saying shit to Candice and Kiana. I thought Kiana was sticking up for Candice. I could be wrong. I know, it's confusing.

We Wine Whenever (14:53.183)
you know what? Now I'm going to have to rewatch it. I do know that they were all, all of those people were involved in it that you just mentioned.

We Wine Whenever (15:01.396)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (15:10.503)
You're getting somebody's getting a call and our recording stop.

We Wine Whenever (15:19.155)
You there? I didn't hit anything. It says, We Wind Whenever's recording has stopped due to an incoming call. But it's still recording.

We Wine Whenever (15:22.142)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (15:28.543)
No, it just started again. It just started again. I'll just have to edit this out. Again, I have this on Do Not Disturb.

We Wine Whenever (15:34.409)
Okay.

We Wine Whenever (15:38.664)
Do you, is it somebody, is it Matt? is he?

We Wine Whenever (15:41.231)
No, it was Walgreens actually.

We Wine Whenever (15:43.63)
so they're not hitting that proceed anyway button. Do you put do not disturb on the iPad and your phone?

We Wine Whenever (15:47.193)
No. All right.

We Wine Whenever (15:52.241)
Yes. yes. Crazy, right? Yeah. All right. Well, it's back going. Yeah, I may have to put two together and we'll just edit that out. Not a big deal. So anyway, I was saying that I know at the runway show it was something between Candice, Kierna and Big Bird. You're right. I don't know her name either, to be quite honest with you.

We Wine Whenever (15:55.943)
Yeah, that is. Okay. So we're recording.

We Wine Whenever (16:20.172)
I'm sorry. I'm sorry to you, even though I don't think you were a good addition to the show. And I do think you specifically came on. Who was she? I think she was trying to say Chris Bassett was hitting on her. Come on now.

We Wine Whenever (16:21.13)
Hehehehehe

We Wine Whenever (16:32.144)
She was. She was. And wait, now was it Big Bird or was she calling her a Muppet? I don't know if it was specifically Big Bird.

We Wine Whenever (16:39.859)
You're right, somebody else could.

We Wine Whenever (16:41.342)
I think it was a puppet, but it doesn't matter.

We Wine Whenever (16:43.283)
These girls throw the funniest shit out. I mean, Lord, I'm not saying it again, people. I'm not judging her looks.

We Wine Whenever (16:53.412)
No, no we are not. We are absolutely not.

We Wine Whenever (16:55.423)
I'm just repeating what the Potomac ladies have put out there.

We Wine Whenever (16:59.527)
So, back to Kierna. So Karen asks her about, you know, how's it going with her man, her man Greg. And she lets us know that they're building a house together and they're living together now because they're living in his house while they're building this house together. But she is not engaged to him. And...

You know, she is expecting, I guess, something for the future, but Karen's trying to tell her that, you know, maybe you need to get something a little bit more concrete.

We Wine Whenever (17:31.647)
Listen, if they're buying a house together and they're equal partners and her name is going on the house, she owns half the house. She doesn't need anything else. If she doesn't want it, if she wants it, that's a different story. But it's not up to Karen to tell her what she needs out of a relationship. I would, you I always wanted to get married, but not everybody does. If her focus is on a home, okay.

We Wine Whenever (17:41.669)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (17:47.11)
Well, that's 100 % true.

We Wine Whenever (17:59.993)
Right, exactly.

We Wine Whenever (18:01.031)
Her name's going on it, she's, she's, half of that's hers.

We Wine Whenever (18:04.283)
Exactly. And they're building it together. So it's not like they're building it. And she does bring up that, you know, she hasn't really lived with a man since her fiance passed away. So yes, yes. Yeah. I don't think, I don't know if she said that to Karen or she said that in the confessional, but she definitely said that. So yeah, it is sad. It is sad.

We Wine Whenever (18:07.646)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (18:18.62)
I didn't catch that part. that's terrible.

We Wine Whenever (18:28.889)
jeez, I didn't even catch that, that's sad.

We Wine Whenever (18:34.266)
then what goes on next?

We Wine Whenever (18:37.339)
Well, Kiana did mention not being invited to Karen's birthday lunch and Karen

We Wine Whenever (18:43.375)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (18:44.157)
I don't know how she reacted, but she did not come out and say, she did not have Gisele's back and say, Gisele asked me who I wanted there and I didn't mention your name.

We Wine Whenever (18:54.064)
of course you wouldn't do that.

We Wine Whenever (18:55.955)
But that's the God's honest truth. I mean, I'm not one to stick up for Gisele, but in this case, I'm gonna do it because Gisele gave her the option to give her a couple of people to invite and Kiana wasn't one of them.

We Wine Whenever (18:57.719)
Right.

Right. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (19:09.626)
Right. No, you're right. 100 % correct.

We Wine Whenever (19:12.327)
And then they discussed how she's not invited to the GNA event. So I do think it was between, I think Kiarna was sticking up for Candace because it was Ashley's friend. So there's something between Ashley and Kiarna.

We Wine Whenever (19:24.964)
Well, no, because she said Giselle will invite you to the GNA event. And then Giselle did invite her to the GNA event.

she chose not to go and to stay at Karen's because of what happened at the other one. So I don't know. We'll figure it out. I mean, it's only episode two, you know.

We Wine Whenever (19:36.955)
okay.

We Wine Whenever (19:41.54)
okay. We will figure it out. Right. Right.

We Wine Whenever (19:49.252)
So then we see Karen goes over to Giselle's house and Giselle being messy like she is asked her how she got there. Did she get there by Uber? And Karen said, well, if Beyonce can have a driver, then so can I. I don't know why you feel the need to compare yourself to Beyonce. And I don't know. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (20:04.83)
I at this point I wouldn't.

We Wine Whenever (20:07.957)
No, I wouldn't.

We Wine Whenever (20:10.557)
I'm just saying.

We Wine Whenever (20:13.369)
I would not either, but it was just a way for Gisele to bring up blue eyes.

We Wine Whenever (20:19.661)
yeah, for sure. Somebody put on Facebook, isn't, what's her face? The one who brought up Blue Eyes, Cherise, is that her name? She was one of the originals, then yeah, why isn't she on this season? Cause she was on last season, but she didn't do nothing last year. She didn't bring anything to the table. I never liked her. I didn't like her the first season.

We Wine Whenever (20:21.272)
Right?

We Wine Whenever (20:31.852)
Yes, yes, yes, Sharice.

We Wine Whenever (20:44.692)
I know I didn't either. And there's so much animosity between her and Karen. So it wouldn't make sense to bring her on if they're getting, you know, they're trying to, no. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (20:49.247)
for sure.

We Wine Whenever (20:56.723)
So then she says, know, Giselle asked Karen how she liked her, you know, attitude party. And she says, well, I felt like it was the, an inquisition attitude party. And Giselle said she didn't think that that was she. She just, you know, thought that people wanted to know. And she was there to ask the questions. And then Karen just kind of let it go. And she did say actually in her confessional that if.

Giselle wasn't giving her shade, like then that wouldn't be their friendship. And she, that's one of the reasons she likes her. So you know what? Then she deserves everything that she gets from Giselle. You know, she knows it's coming. And then she goes on to say about Giselle giving Wendy that bucket hat, that was something. Like she thought that that was some serious shade. But Giselle lets her know that she met with Wendy and now everything with her, you know, those two are cool. Yes, they're gonna move on.

We Wine Whenever (21:34.173)
Yes. Yes. Yep. Yep.

We Wine Whenever (21:49.225)
They're moving on.

We Wine Whenever (21:53.522)
then Giselle once again brings up, Jacqueline had questions for her before she got there. And I didn't realize that Karen was mad at Jacqueline about what she had said. That she said, well, we'll wait until, you know, this all plays out, which is a normal thing to say, I think.

We Wine Whenever (22:06.557)
Me neither.

We Wine Whenever (22:12.315)
is a very normal thing to say and I understand you want your besties to ride or die for you as they should but she's not one of your besties. She's just not. And people have the right to question this. Like people, you made a big mistake, big mistake. So people are going to ask questions and you have to, I mean, you don't have to answer them for sure but you can't get mad at them for asking questions. They're on a show with you.

We Wine Whenever (22:19.978)
Right. Right.

We Wine Whenever (22:38.249)
Yeah, I agree. I totally agree.

We Wine Whenever (22:41.193)
She's almost like Heather in that respect. She doesn't want to be questioned. She doesn't want to look anything less than perfect. It's not possible. It's not attainable to be perfect.

We Wine Whenever (22:54.205)
Yeah. No, I agree. I totally agree.

We Wine Whenever (22:56.093)
And the more you strive to look perfect, the less perfect you look. I mean, come on people. I'm not a psychologist over here. I don't even have a bachelor's degree for crying out loud. And I can write this shit. God.

We Wine Whenever (23:01.493)
you

We Wine Whenever (23:10.613)
And then what happens then Karen says to Giselle about Kiana being upset that she wasn't invited to the party and Giselle's response is that I can only invite a certain number of people. She didn't even mention the fact that you know Karen didn't give her the name.

We Wine Whenever (23:29.743)
I was shocked that she didn't mention that. I was shocked.

We Wine Whenever (23:32.244)
I was too. And then she said, well, I'll invite her to the GNA event.

We Wine Whenever (23:37.449)
She did say that, you're right, she did say that.

We Wine Whenever (23:38.47)
Yeah, so then we find out, which is, glad we found this out. So like I said, originally the GNA was the athleisure wear, and now they're calling it fusion because she's changing the direction. She's gonna make it more of a wellness company. Since the passing of her father from a brain tumor, she wants to include things that will help you stay well instead of clothing.

We Wine Whenever (24:03.305)
Yeah. I didn't realize her father was diagnosed and then passed away 12 days later. That is terrible. That's terrible. I feel bad for her. That's, you know, I mean, I hope she got, I hope she, and I'm sure she did. I'm sure she went there as soon as she got the news and stayed with him until he passed.

We Wine Whenever (24:09.532)
Neither did I. Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (24:14.78)
No, it is terrible.

We Wine Whenever (24:29.106)
Yes, yes. and Karen knows this, right? And she talks about how she's, know, it's kind of a fundraiser to make awareness to the Brain Tumor Foundation. I wrote it down when it's called. And the whole time Karen's like, well, my event is the same day. And she's like, well, what is your event? She's like, well, I'm getting the award for

The FEM powered, it's for entrepreneurs in the community that give back. And she's like, well, I'll be at your event though. So she's like, so yours is like a luncheon or something. Well, I don't know exactly what time it is, she keeps saying. It was the next day. How can you not know what time it is?

We Wine Whenever (25:11.326)
Yeah.

Yeah, I think that Karen was totally trying to hijack Giselle's event, which is really, really shitty. And what Ashley said, I think is so true. Karen put so much emphasis on how she's still mourning her parents. And this is an event for Giselle to celebrate her father. And how dare you, listen Karen, God bless you, won an award.

We Wine Whenever (25:32.308)
Mm-hmm.

We Wine Whenever (25:37.544)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (25:42.047)
I don't know how you won an award after getting that DUI, but I digress. She should have been like, listen, ladies, I would have loved for you to be there for me, but this is so important to Giselle and for her father's memory. You go to that. That's what she should have done. I'm sure Karen's got plenty of other friends in the area that could have been there to support her, but the camera wouldn't have been on her.

And that's the problem.

We Wine Whenever (26:13.294)
It's ridiculous to be quite honest with you. I think what she did was horrible. I think it was horrible. I think it was horrible. And then we see at 6 a.m. the next day, Giselle gets the text from Karen to the group. There are two events scheduled at the same time. Transportation shuttle service has been graciously offered from the FEM-powered back to the GNA event. What? Are you kidding me? I mean, come on.

We Wine Whenever (26:17.159)
Me too. Me too.

We Wine Whenever (26:40.898)
and Giselle immediately texts back into the group, no need for everyone to be running all over town ladies, please just go to Karen's event. Which you know what, I would have done the same thing.

We Wine Whenever (26:53.161)
I would have done the same thing and honestly, I don't agree with how Gisele handled it when those women showed up because I do think that they made a valiant effort to get there by eight o'clock so they could be there for the last hour. However, I will say this, Gisele's event was obviously announced first, her invitations went out first, you responded to her first, you go to her event. Sorry, Karen, like, you know, I understand like Wendy's closer with Karen and, but come on, look at Vivian.

We Wine Whenever (27:00.119)
No.

We Wine Whenever (27:14.723)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (27:22.609)
Vivian, Karen brought Vivian in and she went to Gisele's event and didn't split her time.

We Wine Whenever (27:27.45)
No, well, she wasn't in the group text. And neither did, mean, Jacqueline wasn't in the group text either. And they said that actually, but they both did say, we RSVP to this event. And that is what we will go to. And I agree with you 100%. Wendy is closer with Karen. All she needed to do was send a text message to Giselle. I'm sorry, I know I said I'd be there.

We Wine Whenever (27:31.892)
shoot, no about Karen's event.

We Wine Whenever (27:39.274)
I didn't pick up on that.

We Wine Whenever (27:54.808)
I feel like I need to support Karen, know, my apologies, maybe next time. That's it. That's all you had to do. That's all you had to do. I think what she did was horrible. think what Karen did to Gisele was absolutely horrible.

We Wine Whenever (27:58.921)
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.

We Wine Whenever (28:10.203)
Yeah, and you can see, so I guess, you know, they obviously they have a falling out because we've seen some coming attractions with Giselle indicating that. And I mean, I would understand if this was it, because I would be furious. But I don't think she should have taken it out on the three girls who did make the effort to get back there by eight o'clock, especially because they were all the newbies, right? It was Stacey.

We Wine Whenever (28:32.75)
Yeah, so it was Mia, Mia, Jazzy and Stacey.

We Wine Whenever (28:36.401)
okay. Listen, I mean, they tried. They really did try. They tried what they thought was the right thing, but really the right thing would have been to tell Karen like, sorry, bitch. One day's notice and you know we have something else, uh-uh.

We Wine Whenever (28:42.586)
They did try.

We Wine Whenever (28:53.992)
No, I totally agree. It was the National Brain Tumor Society and it was to help raise awareness. I 100 % agree with you. I just think and I know that's how Gisele is and she was hot. And Ashley said, like I told them to be here by eight o'clock and that's why they were there by eight o'clock.

We Wine Whenever (29:05.929)
She was on.

We Wine Whenever (29:14.491)
Exactly. they got there by eight o'clock. So they literally went to Cameron's for a half hour.

We Wine Whenever (29:16.496)
So I think 15 minutes. I don't even think they were there a half hour. I think they were literally there 15 minutes. And they left before she got her award. They took a picture. They left. They went back. We do see, because we don't know exactly what happens. We do see Ashley seeing what's going on and she is running across the room. So I'm hoping Ashley can squash the kick out.

We Wine Whenever (29:22.437)
I think you're right and they jet back to Giselle. So don't kick them out.

We Wine Whenever (29:44.135)
I'm hoping so too. I'm hoping so too. I understand Gisele getting hot like that, but don't take it out on them because really it was Karen who pulled this bullshit, not them.

We Wine Whenever (29:54.946)
Mm-hmm. Yes, yes. And that's pretty much how it ends is with that going on.

We Wine Whenever (30:02.599)
Yeah, I feel like these episodes fly by Potomac.

We Wine Whenever (30:05.678)
Yeah, they have been going pretty quick, right?

We Wine Whenever (30:07.367)
Right? I'm like, my God, it's over already. Like, or when I fast forward through commercials, I'm like, shit, I only have 20 minutes left. Like, but I like that because, you know, some of them, Salt Lake City drags on for me a little bit.

We Wine Whenever (30:13.604)
Yeah, no.

We Wine Whenever (30:21.168)
So this is what I want. Remember we were talking about the production companies? So I looked them all up. So I have some insight for you. So Real Housewives, we'll start with Potomac because we just did that one. Real Housewives of Potomac is done by Originally True Entertainment. And that was the same for Real Housewives of Atlanta. But.

We Wine Whenever (30:25.167)
Mm-hmm. Awesome.

We Wine Whenever (30:50.202)
They switched to truly original, both Real Housewives of Atlanta and Real Housewives of Potomac. Truly Original has been doing those two since season three on Potomac to present and on Atlanta season 10 until present. Truly Original.

We Wine Whenever (31:11.017)
So Atlanta and Potomac still have the same production company.

We Wine Whenever (31:14.754)
Yes, Truly Original also does Real Housewives of Dubai and Winterhouse.

We Wine Whenever (31:23.885)
interesting. We didn't have one of those this year.

We Wine Whenever (31:27.453)
We did not. We did not. Or no, maybe we did and we didn't watch it. I think we did. We didn't watch it. You would have? Are you sure?

We Wine Whenever (31:33.383)
No, I would have watched it. I promise. There was only two seasons. Two or three? Three, three, three.

We Wine Whenever (31:38.696)
All well, there's no, I have three seasons, three, I have three seasons. Okay, so then Real Housewives of New York is Shed Media. And that has been from season three on. I don't know who did it the first two seasons. Shed Media.

We Wine Whenever (31:56.487)
Interesting that even with the reboot, they kept the same production company.

We Wine Whenever (31:59.728)
Yes, Shed Media also does Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. So we are watching New York right now and Salt Lake City at the same time. And remember we were saying about how things were similar with, with, with the, yes. And the, the cinematography going through the home and the, the furniture shopping, same.

We Wine Whenever (32:15.901)
Yes, with the flashbacks and the separate conversations. Interesting.

We Wine Whenever (32:28.263)
Yes. Yes!

We Wine Whenever (32:29.274)
Same, same production company.

We Wine Whenever (32:32.477)
That's very interesting.

We Wine Whenever (32:34.255)
Right? I thought so too. Now, Real Housewives of New Jersey. That has been siren media from the very beginning and that is all they do. Real Housewives of New Jersey. They only do Jersey.

We Wine Whenever (32:48.733)
They only do Jersey. For some reason, I thought Jersey and OC were going to have the same production company.

We Wine Whenever (32:54.998)
I actually did too. that...

Where's my OC one?

We Wine Whenever (33:08.934)
That's not good, it's not on my spreadsheet. I'm gonna have to get back to you about OC. I must have made a mistake.

We Wine Whenever (33:12.787)
All right. I'm just curious, do you happen to remember if OC and Beverly Hills are the same production company?

We Wine Whenever (33:18.192)
So Beverly Hills is evolution media.

Where did my OC go? Yes, ask Siri. Ask Siri.

We Wine Whenever (33:26.527)
I know. You want me to ask Dari?

We Wine Whenever (33:34.591)
Siri who produces the Real Housewives of OC.

We Wine Whenever (33:40.455)
Its executive producers are Adam Carpal, Alex Baskin, Douglas Ross, Gregory Stewart, Scott Dunlop, Stephanie Boyerbeth, and Andy Cohen. This is from.

We Wine Whenever (33:50.223)
What production company?

We Wine Whenever (33:54.695)
Siri, what production company does the Real Housewives of Orange County use?

evolution so who who uses that Beverly Hills

We Wine Whenever (34:02.565)
Revolution.

We Wine Whenever (34:08.133)
The Beverly Hills. That's right. That's right. Cause they're both in California. Right. Right. That's it.

We Wine Whenever (34:10.631)
Yeah, so they have this name, which I guess makes sense because of location, right? Yeah, and Potomac and Atlanta aren't too far away from each other. It's interesting that New Jersey is the only one that doesn't, you know, has their own. Yeah, yeah,

We Wine Whenever (34:19.343)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (34:24.623)
separate, Sirens Media. When Real Housewives of DC was on, it was only on for one season and that was half yard production.

Like you just said, Beverly Hills and Orange County are evolution media. what? Dallas, Dallas was Real Housewives of Dallas.

We Wine Whenever (34:40.585)
was Dallas. Dallas?

We Wine Whenever (34:50.799)
Here we go, Wondery. Totally different, Wondery. Real Housewives of Miami was purveyors of pop. That's all they did. Potomac, truly original. Dallas, Wondery. Salt Lake City, Shed Media. Dubai, truly original. Real Housewives, I told you, Ultimate Girls Trip, Shed Media. Summer House and Family Karma and Real Housewives of Dallas are all Wondery.

We Wine Whenever (34:52.699)
yeah.

We Wine Whenever (35:20.061)
Okay.

We Wine Whenever (35:20.677)
So I'm surprised that summer house and winter house aren't the same. yeah, and then Family Karma is in there too. And I miss Family Karma. I loved that show.

We Wine Whenever (35:23.882)
I know, that's interesting.

We Wine Whenever (35:32.301)
I loved that show. Did you, you never watched that, did you? It was only three seasons. I did like it. So I just thought that was interesting that, you know, they, the different production companies, you definitely see it. You see it.

We Wine Whenever (35:34.512)
I never watched Family Karma.

I know you liked it though.

We Wine Whenever (35:48.797)
You see similarities. mean, that's so interesting about Salt Lake City in New York because we said it.

We Wine Whenever (35:53.529)
Yeah, yes we did. And that's why I wanted to look it up. I said, let me check this out. Let me check this out. So yeah, and then OC. yeah.

We Wine Whenever (35:58.205)
Yeah. Yeah. You have to Lori because she thought so too. She was noticing the cinematography and everything.

We Wine Whenever (36:06.819)
Maybe if she listens to the podcast, she'll hear it.

We Wine Whenever (36:10.717)
that chance.

We Wine Whenever (36:16.307)
Well, she won't listen to this one because she's, you know, she doesn't watch Potomac. she, think, you know what? Let's not even get into it.

We Wine Whenever (36:21.189)
Yeah, stop. stop.

We Wine Whenever (36:26.161)
I'm not doing it. Nope. Not doing it.

We Wine Whenever (36:29.369)
I'm going to make an announcement. remember I switched to the straw for my wine because I was making too much noise sipping? Well, one of our listeners said that I should not do that. I should not, you know, give in to, right, to sip away. I said, listen, I didn't really like the way it sounded either. Well, I just was doing some research about, I drink with a straw all the time. I always have because it makes me drink more because I drink a lot during the day. But I just was doing a little research about these little wrinkles around my lips.

We Wine Whenever (36:34.26)
Yes.

We Wine Whenever (36:40.937)
You sip away.

We Wine Whenever (36:53.983)
Right.

We Wine Whenever (36:58.903)
It's from drinking with a straw. So guess what? I'm giving up the straw. I'm not drinking with a straw anymore. Smoking a cigarette and I'm getting them from straw drinking. So you're not gonna see a straw anymore. So if you hear me sipping, it's because I've decided that I don't want the lines around my lips. Yeah, deal with it. So what's gonna happen? And I'm drinking more water too. I have been drinking water, but they also say that that's gonna help plump back those lines up.

We Wine Whenever (37:00.838)
It is from Drinking with a Straw.

Yeah, because it's the same thing as like a smoker's line.

We Wine Whenever (37:10.217)
Yeah.

We Wine Whenever (37:16.499)
Deal with it. Deal with the slurping.

We Wine Whenever (37:27.075)
yeah, water's essential. Water is essential. I drink so much water during the day it's ridiculous. And at night, like really. Yeah, you have to drink water. It's very healthy.

We Wine Whenever (37:29.989)
me

We Wine Whenever (37:33.529)
Yeah, no, agree. So.

Okay, I think that's it, right?

We Wine Whenever (37:41.435)
I do. I mean, I feel like we've accomplished a lot. We recounted Potomac. We've given a PSA on the border intake.

We Wine Whenever (37:44.378)
you

Yeah, what else can we do? It's only one episode. Thank you for watching and listening to We Wine Whenever. Until next time, bye.

We Wine Whenever (37:51.654)
I mean, really exactly. We can't save the world in one episode.

We Wine Whenever (38:02.217)
Bye.
