RHOC Stay In Your Lane Vicki!
RHOC S20 E5 Designers and Dildos
This week on The Real Housewives of Orange County, the drama is all about Carmella, money, and whether anyone can simply let the woman live. Vicki is immediately suspicious of Carmella and her relationship with Jenn, especially after learning that Carmella has invited Jenn to work on her next project and plans to pay her around $20,000. Vicki questions why Carmella is sharing details about her finances and insists that something doesn’t pass the “sniff test.” Meanwhile, Emily gets to know Carmella better and learns about her criminal history, while Carmella explains that she wants to help Jenn professionally and sees it as an opportunity for women to support one another.
Things get even messier at the winery when Carmella arrives with her own vodka and Vicki immediately starts beating the “Debbie Downer” drum again. Tamra tries to encourage Vicki to give Carmella a chance, but the tension quickly shifts to Heather and Emily’s fractured friendship. Heather is deeply hurt after Emily told her to stop talking, while Emily stands by her comments and refuses to change who she is just to accommodate Heather. Gina tries to mediate but ends up getting caught in the middle herself. Just when the arguing reaches peak Housewives territory, Carmella offers to flash a boob to break the tension—which somehow fails to work with this particular group.
And then there’s the gift. Carmella’s extravagant present for Emily—including a Dior bag and a very unexpected adult accessory—becomes a major source of controversy. Gina thinks Carmella is flaunting her money and trying too hard to buy Emily’s friendship, while Carmella insists she was simply being herself and never intended for the gift to become such a spectacle. The conversation eventually circles back to Carmella’s business dealings with Jenn, with Vicki continuing to question her motives and Gina admitting that she sees Carmella as competition. Despite all the suspicion, jealousy, awkward gifts, and endless accusations, this episode delivers exactly the kind of lighter, ridiculous Housewives drama that is fun to watch—and the conclusion is clear: keep Carmella, but someone please get Vicki to stop saying “Debbie Downer.”

Kelli (00:01.274)
Hi, welcome to We Wine Whenever, I'm Kelly.
Lori (00:03.764)
And I'm Laurie and we're gonna talk about Real Housewives of Orange County.
Kelli (00:10.204)
Season twenty, Episode five, Designers and Dildos. I do like the title.
Lori (00:15.854)
There you go. I do kinda like the title too. I must say.
Kelli (00:21.968)
Yeah. So we start out with Vicky and Jen Pedranti are at Med Lounge and Vicky says she is not a Debbie Downer. Over and over and over again.
Lori (00:32.372)
And over and over again. I'm gonna tell you something right now. I'm not digging her at all. She's aggravating me. She's annoying me. And I also thought it was very weird, this whole spa scene. It was like Vicky went to get like the two hundred dollar facial and the other one, Jen, gets like
Kelli (01:01.734)
The free add on mask.
Lori (01:01.94)
a facial mask from like the Dollar Tree and is standing there with it. I'm like, what in the fuck is going on? Like, how is this even possible?
Kelli (01:05.336)
Exactly.
Well, I'm thinking Vicky paid for her two hundred dollar hydrofacial and Jen got the free mask that came along with
Lori (01:16.704)
Something 'cause I was like, this is like corny. Like what what what are you what's going on here?
Kelli (01:21.926)
Well, yeah, especially because Vicky's got plenty of money, so treat your friend to a facial and don't shit on the fact that Carmella is trying to employ her or help her out in a certain way. 'Cause that's women empowering women.
Lori (01:39.45)
yeah. Yeah.
Kelli (01:43.398)
So Vicky says she saw a softer side of Heather at the box party. And Jen says that she went to dinner with Heather, and she feels like everything always has to be perfect with Heather. Well, that's an understatement, and that's always been the way with Heather. she loves who Heather is and wants to rebuild with honesty. Listen, Heather is not real friends with any of these women. Heather will never be real friends with any of these women. This is a job for Heather and
She's a trained actress. I mean, not a very good one from from my opinion, but I mean, this is a this is a job for her. Nobody's having a true friendship with Heather, so let's stop talking about it. It's like all they talk about. This is always Heather's storyline, if she's a true friend or not. It's it's horrible. It's horrible T V.
Lori (02:20.203)
No, no, no.
Lori (02:38.967)
So then I was thinking, so they have this conversation and Jen lets Vicky know that they went to dinner and Carmelis told her, you know, why don't you kinda like join in on me in the next job to see what I do since you think you're kinda interested in real estate and then I thought to myself, Well, what does Jen do? 'Cause I don't really watch this show. So I Googled it. I'm like, okay.
She owns a yoga studio. I'm like, all right, okay, but I can still see it. And then I was thinking, okay, what's she gonna do for Carmella? And then Vicki is talking to Jen and she says, stay in your lane. Is she encouraging Jen not to do the project with Carmella? Or is she talking about Carmela?
Kelli (03:27.579)
Mm.
Lori (03:38.091)
Who is she talking about when she says stay in your lane?
Kelli (03:39.534)
I took it as
I took it as she's telling Jen to stay in her lane.
Lori (03:48.462)
Ew Ew is all I have to say. Ew.
Kelli (03:49.732)
Right. That's how I took it. I don't know if everybody else took it that way. I feel like that was a nice thing that Carmella was trying to do.
Lori (03:57.12)
And and also I wanted to very nice. And I also wanted to do a shout out, Carmella. I will gladly work for free on any project that you would like. I don't even need the 20 grand. Used to do interior design, could help you in any way. But I thought that was really nice of Carmella and I thought if she is saying that in regards
To Jen, I thought it was really shitty and really rude. And I would have been like
Kelli (04:31.415)
one hundred percent.
Lori (04:34.643)
You talking to me, bitch? So I would have been.
Kelli (04:39.333)
Well, at the same time Vicky and Jen are at the med spa, Emily goes to Carmela's Corona Del Mar house. And Emily asks, she sees the picture of Carmela's daughter and she asks if things get better after 13 because you know Annabella's a little feisty at 13. And Carmella says they turn into assholes in middle school. Amen to that, sister. I'm so glad somebody else said it.
Lori (04:58.593)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (05:08.071)
Mm. Mm-hmm. Yep. They do. Absolutely. Yes. A vast, a vast percentage.
Kelli (05:10.287)
They do. Most of most of them. One of mine did, one of mine didn't. A big yeah, exactly. but Emily says Carmela works hard and she's a hustler and she needs to lead with that and not expensive gifts. I'm sorry, but they're making way too much out of this $3,000 clutch. Like enough already. And don't tell people how to lead.
Lori (05:32.989)
way too much. Way too much. I mean, listen, yeah.
Kelli (05:38.821)
When they come into a friend group, 'cause I cannot tell you how awful they were to Emily and Gina when they first got on this show. So shame on Emily and Gina for being anything other than gracious to any newcomer to this show. Yeah.
Lori (05:52.856)
To somebody. No. Absolutely. Yeah, and I didn't like how Emily was saying, like Carmela picked a random number to to pay Jen. No, she didn't. No, she didn't. She's a businesswoman. She knows exactly what she's doing. She knows exactly what she has built into her project. She knows exactly what Jen's worth to her would be, even though she doesn't know her.
Kelli (06:05.53)
I totally agree with you.
Lori (06:21.611)
She's not a dummy at all. And I was like, why is Emily saying, that's messy? Like, what is her problem?
Kelli (06:28.54)
Mm-hmm.
I totally agree. I had that. Like, I'm sure Carmela thinks about the numbers and how much she's gonna make and how much she's willing to part with on the project for what Jen can offer as far as services. I'm sure she thought this all out. I don't think it was an arbitrary number. And why, like, Emily, why would you even say that? Like, instead of saying that, why don't you ask Carmella, like, so
Lori (06:42.381)
Absolutely. Yes, she's not a dummy.
Kelli (06:55.61)
You know, do you or is that like a percentage of blah, blah, blah? Like you're a lawyer, Emily. You like to ask questions. So instead of saying it's an arbitrary number, why don't you ask her how she came up with that number? Not that it's any of your business, though. Yep.
Lori (07:08.265)
If you're business at all. No. No, no, no, no, no.
Kelli (07:12.742)
Carmella tells Emily that she went to dinner with Jen and Tamara and there was a lot of talk. And then Emily tells her that Vicky said she's a liar and doesn't know what she's talking about.
Lori (07:20.769)
Thought that was whoa. You are really starting trout. Like you are trying to work for the paycheck. Like it was so there, you know what? There's there's no just crazy. But listen, there's certain times when I watch the housewives that it's slightly tolerable. And then there are times when Emily does what she did, and I was like,
Kelli (07:29.838)
And Carmelo says, Is it a generational thing? And Emily's like, No, Vicky's just crazy.
Kelli (07:49.732)
She's so messy.
Lori (07:50.164)
Okay, so just tell me the show's highly produced without telling me the show is highly produced. I was like, girl, you stop it. Stop it.
Kelli (07:55.727)
Exactly. Emily's f falling in line.
And she did it for a long time. She was really one of my favorites. She's totally falling in line though. I don't like it.
Lori (08:08.599)
She certainly is. And I don't feel Carmel is a bragger at all.
Kelli (08:13.596)
She's a successful businesswoman and she's not a flipper. She is a developer. She buys a property and then develops the you know the end result. Like there are many facets to this. And listen, Vicki's saying, like, why is she telling you how much she made? Vicki, come on. If this were season one, you'd be screaming it from the rooftops if you made that money. You know what I mean? Like
Lori (08:20.013)
Absolutely.
Lori (08:40.545)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Kelli (08:43.426)
I I am a firm believer in wealth whispers, but listen, she's a businesswoman, Carmella, and you're questioning why she's handing out a three thousand dollar bag? Well because she's making a million on a project. That's why. So shut the F up and leave her alone.
Lori (08:56.503)
Right.
Lori (08:59.789)
And how about how about when Vicky said, I can see it. She's gonna ask Ryan for money to develop the next project. No, no, no, no, that's not but right, but that's not even that's not even the modus operandum. She finds clients who are wealthy, who have properties that they want to invest in and
Kelli (09:10.576)
I don't think Ryan's even got it like that quite o I mean, I know he's got money, but I don't think he's got it like that.
Lori (09:29.853)
improve. She guides them on that improvement and then markets them and sells them and makes a profit. It's very simple. You she's not buying a tract of land and throwing up fifty homes. No. So what like it just sounds so ignorant on on Vicky's part. So ignorant.
Kelli (09:56.039)
Vicky is a very insecure, bitter woman. She really, really is. And I was listening to Reality Court with Anakin Kosis. She's a former Real Housewife of Miami, but she does she has a podcast and recap shows as well. And she said it and I think she's right. I think it was a very rash decision to bring Vicki back because Vicky was
Lori (10:00.797)
I can see this. I can see this.
Kelli (10:23.184)
fired from the show, basically, let go from the show a couple of years ago. Vicky started the show, season one, Real Housewives of O say. But she was basically let go. She was like a friend of for a season or two and then she was just let go. So Anna said, I think it was a rash decision that they made for the 20th anniversary to bring her back. And I and I think she's right. And honestly, I think they need to wipe this cast clean. although I know it didn't work for Roni.
Lori (10:25.393)
okay. this I didn't know. No, right, I knew that. I knew that.
that I didn't know. Okay.
Lori (10:43.046)
Mm. Cause she's really annoying.
Kelli (10:52.632)
I think Orange County we could I I don't know. I I I feel like they they just need to get rid of who they got. It's it's old, it's tired, it's the same storyline. Like I said, every year Heather and Tam are questioning, are we really fans? Are we really friends? And then every year it's Emily and Gina like who's getting jealous that the other one's becoming friendly with the new girl because they're best friend. It's tired. It's done. It's over.
Lori (11:03.967)
Over and over and over.
Lori (11:17.933)
Mm.
Kelli (11:19.866)
So Vicky apparently is having an event and it's kind of up in the air if Carmela's invited. So basically Tamra's like, Well I'm just gonna bring you. So listen, good for Tamra because it would just be like Vicky to leave Carmella out because she thinks, you know, she's the Queen Bee.
Lori (11:29.313)
Yeah.
Lori (11:36.556)
Now how about when they're still at the spa and then Vicky says, you know, she says, you know, whatever you want to do, do. Good luck, bitch. And then again, I'm saying to myself, Is she saying that to Jen? Or is she saying that about Carmella? Either way, you're the bitch. my god, I would have like
Kelli (11:47.462)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (11:51.974)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (11:58.029)
I took it as she was saying it to Jen.
Lori (12:03.767)
threw my mask on her face and and left and been like, fuck off.
Kelli (12:10.14)
She's not gonna get she's not gonna show Jen any respect at all. Trust me. Vicki is like that. Jen's not gonna get any respect from Vicki. I don't even know why Jen's filming with Vicki. So Emily asks Carmella, do you have a criminal background? And she's like, Yeah, I do. And I think Emily said it as a joke because she was like, we'll fit we'll find out if you do.
Lori (12:29.645)
So I wanna I wanna say something. So this is the my surmise of Carmella's explaymate restraining order story. She's in a stripper bar in Ohio. She was with her husband before they got married, her ex with his ex who had a restraining order against Carmella after an altercation.
Kelli (12:50.108)
Exactly.
Lori (12:58.485)
And then they ended up in the same place together, the stripper bar in Ohio. And Carmela Carmella decides to say, Fuck it, since they're both in the same place, and decided to get up and dance on a table on a stripper pole, where then she got nailed in the face with her ex girlfriend's friend's drink.
Kelli (13:22.202)
Yeah.
Lori (13:23.393)
Like that's crazy. And you know what? I love it. I'm here for it.
Kelli (13:29.798)
Well, even Emily's like, Well, you really should have led to that led with that. Like I had to go to jail for an assault.
Lori (13:33.439)
Yeah. Yeah. Emily said I just want to go to this bar in Ohio and swing on a pole now. Exactly. She says Right. And Emily says, That's the Carmella I want to know. Well, you and me both.
Kelli (13:41.68)
That's what we want to see.
Kelli (13:49.083)
Yeah, well then tell Vicky to back off. Because now it's all about a dildo and a three thousand dollar clutch. Because you guys are choosing to make it like that.
Lori (13:51.405)
Mm.
Lori (13:57.742)
So I don't Right. Did you watch it on Bravo or did you watch it on Pico?
Kelli (14:04.176)
I think I watched on Peacock.
Lori (14:05.719)
Did you see the little blurb that was on the bottom when Carmelo was talking about it? It was a little blurb that came up on the bottom real quick. And it was from the Gilroy Dispatch. So I'm thinking it was Gilroy, Ohio, and it said Jeff's Juke Joint Judo Queen Dodges jail.
Kelli (14:18.628)
Yeah.
Kelli (14:30.458)
Yes, I did see that. Because I was like, what the hell is that? By the way, I want to bring something up. I did not watch the Valley Reunion Part One on Peacock. I watched it on demand. I did not know that Lala addressed the whole Sheena. I didn't know that. So we'll talk about that when we recap root the reunion part two.
Lori (14:46.629)
yeah. yeah. The whole sheet of them. Mm-hmm.
Lori (14:54.465)
Yes.
Kelli (14:54.584)
I just didn't see it because I didn't watch it on Peacock. I saw a clip of it and I was like, wait a minute, I didn't see that. This is why you have to watch especially the reunions on Peacock. It's very important because that's huge that she even addressed that.
Lori (15:00.395)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (15:04.767)
yeah.
Lori (15:09.089)
So I just wanted to say here that
Carmela came to Playboy's attention after she applied to Playboy TV's reality television show, Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold? She was selected as a finalist, but then she withdrew before filming because she had second thoughts about it. When you Hefner found out about this, he invited her to his birthday party and convinced her to change her mind.
Kelli (15:38.342)
Wow.
Lori (15:46.53)
Then she was cha chosen as Playboy Cybergirl of the Week, then became Playboy Cybergirl of the Month before officially becoming Playboy's Miss April in 2003. Let's see. And then she was named Playmate of the Year in 2004. let's see.
Kelli (16:13.04)
That's interesting.
Lori (16:13.213)
Two thousand yeah, two thousand six she posed for muscle and fitness online. Two thousand eight she was sports illustrated swimsuit issue. and then she did an appearance for WWE two thousand four reality competition, Diva Search. Yeah, so it's like okay.
Kelli (16:30.5)
Yeah, sh yeah, she said that, yeah.
Kelli (16:38.108)
Well listen, she's got a colorful background and that's what we like to see. She's a mom, you know, i she's an ex professional athlete wife. Like th this is all interesting to us. So if we could just get past the three thousand dollar clutch
Lori (16:42.413)
Yeah.
Lori (16:52.031)
Now two things.
Right, we'll be good. So also I want to let you know two thousand twenty two twenty three, she was on one episode of selling sunset as a realtor.
Kelli (17:06.096)
Yep. Because she works for the Oppenheim group and that's that whole reality show is based around that.
Lori (17:09.216)
Right, right.
Yeah, so I just looked into her a little bit. I was like, Okay, cool. I love her. I love her.
Kelli (17:16.656)
Yeah, we like her. I like her. Yeah. So Tamra goes to see her daughter Sophia. She's getting more comfortable in her new apartment. And Tamara's like, you know, listen, it's hard, obviously, but you want you want to see your kids spread their wings and fly. So Sophia thinks that Nico, her boyfriend, really is the one. Like she is gonna probably marry him and have a wedding. And Tamra's like, holy shit, like this is crazy. Like I, you know, I can't even imagine.
Lori (17:45.869)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (17:46.811)
So she tells Sophia about her party and that Shannon came over early to help her and they're seeing where it goes from there. So then Shannon I have here Shannon meets Shannon, Gina, and Vicky for dinner. So I'm assuming it was Shannon, Gina, and Vicky, or did somebody else come and I just didn't put their name down?
Lori (18:07.301)
no, for the dinner it was Heather, Shannon, Gina, and Vicky.
Kelli (18:10.363)
Heather.
Got it. Okay. So Vicky announces that she's getting drunk and she's not a Debbie Downer again. Heather shares that she and Tamra had a very honest conversation. Listen, we don't care. Nobody nobody who's viewing this show cares if Heather and Tamra had an honest conversation or if they're really friends. We're over it. We don't care. So please stop talking about it. I can't.
Shannon says Tamara cannot take accountability for anything, but they are at a peaceful place and she appreciates her apology, but she doesn't want to ride the roller coaster anymore. I can't wait until Tamra hears that. Gina says that there is a very sensitive side of Heather, and Heather says she didn't sleep last night and it was all about Emily. She's upset because Emily told Jen that Heather said she was obsessed with Tamra.
And then Emily told her to stop talking. Heather says she grew up in a family that wasn't warm, and what Emily said really upset her. So basically, if you are going to be friends with Heather, you need to only say things to Heather that pleases Heather. You are not allowed to say anything that d displeases Heather. Right.
Lori (19:30.165)
Right. You can't you can't say stop talking. Right, right. I was I wrote down she's being way overly sensitive. And then she did the little crying thing, but then five minutes later, when they were doing like a toasting to Debbie Downer, she was like happy as a lark and I was like Mm
Kelli (19:50.374)
Because she is a professional actress.
Lori (19:53.065)
I was like, okay. It was just weird.
Kelli (19:55.741)
So Gina does say that Emily was harsh that night and she thinks it's a good thing if Emily is held accountable. So that's interesting to me. Shannon goes out to eat with her dad, Gene the Machine, and this man is ninety-seven years old. God bless him.
Lori (20:03.381)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (20:12.737)
Cabassa. Cabassa.
Kelli (20:16.068)
So, another another thing that was spoken about on reality court with Anna Kinkowsis is that she asked her co host Ace, do you know where Shannon's father got his money from? And he said, No, because apparently they lived a very nice lifestyle. They had to choose between living in LA and then, you know, wherever the hell else they were. another affluent area of California.
Lori (20:41.141)
Yes, yes, yes.
Kelli (20:42.588)
Apparently one of Shannon's grandparents, one of her grandfathers, I don't know if it was on her mother's side or her father's side, owned like a department store or something. I I really I should have I was just listening to it so I didn't write anything down. I'm gonna look into it. But so basically Shannon's parents got their money from the grandparents, but it was a lot. They were very, very wealthy. so Shannon is now talking to a financial person and she's
Lori (21:01.601)
Right. Right.
Kelli (21:11.098)
reeling in her finances. And right. Right. Shannon tells her, huh?
Lori (21:13.111)
Finally, in her sixties.
Lori (21:17.641)
You know, it's it's wild 'cause it's like she's like, Well, I like where I live.
I can sit outside and and w say hi to people and dude, there's nowhere else you can sit outside and say hi to people that's not a cabillion dollars that you probably shouldn't be paying a month just out the window for rent? Like what are you even talking about? That's so stupid. Stupid.
Kelli (21:42.182)
Yeah, what does she pay? Ten thousand a month?
I know. But it's California like it's California, you know?
Lori (21:50.249)
I know, I know. But all all I'm saying is that's was like a I was like,
Kelli (21:55.707)
I think she lives in Corona Del Mar, which again is a very expensive place. Most places in California are expensive. So she tells her dad that she, when she was a little girl, they went to why don't I have it written down? Wherever they went, and it was supposed to be like a vacation or something. But I guess at the end of the summer, her mother was like, I don't want to go back to LA. And her other siblings didn't want to go back to LA either. And her father basically says
Lori (22:13.491)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. They decided to stay there and right and all the kids wanted to stay. Yeah.
Kelli (22:23.48)
I didn't have the balls to say, no, we're going back to LA. So we just stayed there. And Shannon was like, I I didn't want to stay there. I wanted to go back to you know, she was only ten, so she was like, I had friends in LA and I mean, listen, ten years old, it's it's not a terrible time to have to move. At least you weren't like in high school, you know. But anyway, she at least she had this conversation with her father. I do believe her mom is still alive. I don't think they're still married her parents though.
Lori (22:41.723)
No.
Right, right.
Kelli (22:53.308)
'Cause they call her father Jean the machine for a reason.
Lori (22:53.339)
Mm.
Lori (22:59.455)
okay. Yeah, yeah.
Kelli (23:00.122)
You know what saying? Yeah. So Gina now meets up with Tamara and Gina she tells her that her stepdaughter had an emergency appendectomy in the middle of the night.
This is this was a little wild to me though. She was home in two hours.
Lori (23:18.455)
Yeah, what's that about?
Kelli (23:19.948)
I don't know. but she couldn't Gina couldn't go because because of the stepdaughter's mom. There's they have a contentious relationship. but Gina's fiance, Travis, has full custody of the kids. So to me that speaks volumes. I I don't know. Yeah. So it is she's like basically it is what it is. I'm not gonna put this little girl and, you know, stress her out while she's having
Lori (23:29.461)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (23:35.935)
Right. Yeah, absolutely.
Kelli (23:48.067)
an appendectomy, you know? and then Tamara tells Gina she went to dinner with Jen and Carmella and she Carmella Tamara tells Gina. Yeah she went to dinner with Jen and Carmela and and Carmela is upset with Gina. So Gina's like, well it's odd to gift someone a Dior bag and then something to masturbate with. And Gina's like, well
Lori (23:49.921)
Right, right.
Kelli (24:15.278)
Emily's kind of effed up for telling Carmella that you're pissed, which I agree. And and Gina was basically like, Yeah, I didn't really want that to get back to her. Like, I'm just telling my best friend. Like, I think it's weird. So why is my best friend going and telling this person? Yeah, and and Emily is, you know, falling in line basically with the producers.
Lori (24:19.604)
Absolutely. Absolutely.
Lori (24:25.581)
Yeah.
Right. Right, right. Good. She's not your best friend. Hello.
Lori (24:36.109)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Kelli (24:39.324)
and then Tamra tells Gina how Carmela's bringing Jen in on the next project. And Gina says it's a red flag because it's all about money with Carmela. And Gina says something feels wrong to her. And Vicky said the same thing. And Gina's like, she's doing way too much. And I think that Tamara hit the nail on the head. Like, I don't know if she said it here or at when they were all at the winery, but she's like, Gina's jealous because Carmela's got Gina's dream job.
Lori (25:04.753)
absolutely.
Absolutely jealous. absolutely jealous. And this just such a stupid just a stupid storyline. It's two thousand twenty six. You can Google the shit out of anybody. Don't act like you know, like we don't really know about this chip. You can know every time she took a shit, if you look online. Don't act like there's you know, she got some big skeleton or c stop it. Stop it. Stop it.
Kelli (25:08.986)
Yeah. Yeah.
Kelli (25:34.906)
Yep, exactly. Exactly. So they're all getting ready to go to the winery now and Shannon's texting everyone to see what they're wearing.
Lori (25:45.302)
I was laughing. Do you know I was laughing? Because that would be me, because I don't know how to do a group text. I don't know how to make one. So I would singularly text each person because I would be like Shannon. So I couldn't say anything about it.
Kelli (25:53.616)
You would singularly text each person.
Kelli (26:04.358)
Yep. So they go to Rancho Capistrano Winery. Vicki shows up first. She's hosting. She brings up the Debbie Downer thing right out the gate. And nobody there even knows what she's talking about. So it's just stupid, Vicki. It's part of her shtick. It's exhausting.
Lori (26:19.213)
It's exhausting is what it is. It's exhausting. And listen, I know people on here don't like when we talk about people's appearances.
But I don't care. I don't care. and I don't care because I just woke up from a nap, I got ratty hair. I don't care. I don't care. Vicki, when she was going up to get her first glass of wine,
Lori (26:52.255)
She needs to stop doing whatever she's doing with her lips because she was trying to take the sip of the wine. She couldn't even like get the glass in there because they were they were like I was like, my god. Stop. And she's like licking them and they're I can't, I can't.
Kelli (27:01.18)
They were probably numb. Right.
Yep. The filler and the lip filler and the face filler, like she's getting that look to her that people get when they use too much filler. The puffy it looks like you're it it winds up looking like you're wearing a mask.
Lori (27:18.091)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely. And to the audience, I know. I need to lift. I know. I know all about you don't need to tell me that I have no room to talk. I know. I'm making an observation 'cause it's my podcast and that's what I want to say. She needs to stop with the whole lip thing. I do, but that's okay. That's okay. That's okay. But I'm just saying she needs to stop. And then he gives her this spicy wine and she tries it and like
Kelli (27:35.772)
That's right. You don't need the lift, by the way. I know you think you do, but you don't.
Lori (27:49.942)
almost chokes to death and coughs. It's like, I like it and I'm like, my God. The fuck am I watching? What am I watching? It was cra it was like
Kelli (27:52.669)
She so obviously did not like it. Exactly.
So Tamra shows up and tells Vicki that Carmela's coming. And Vicki's like, I didn't invite her. And Tamara's like, Yeah, I did. And you should get to know her better. So again, good for Tamara. Vicki is trying to say something doesn't pass the sniff, you know, Carmela doesn't pass the sniff test, but she's screwing it up over and over. Again, her shtick, whatever.
Lori (28:11.745)
Mm-hmm.
Lori (28:24.565)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And if I heard, if I heard whoop it up.
Kelli (28:30.36)
yeah, that's again, that's her thing, you know, that's her shtick.
Lori (28:32.217)
One more time. Listen, I'm gonna be sixty. It's very rare that I wanna whoop anything anymore, okay? Fucking tired. I'm sure Fiki's tired too. So why is she acting like like d that I don't know if she's thinking like that's what the viewers wanna see or because
Kelli (28:47.312)
Gotta be tired.
Lori (28:57.951)
Emily made the comment that she was expecting more vivacious. I would have been like, Bitch, I'm sixty sometimes. That those vivacious moments may shine through here and there. But the the you know, the luster on the pearl has faded. Just let it be. Let it be.
Kelli (29:05.03)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (29:15.28)
Right. Yes, one hundred percent. Exactly. Tamara says just be fun and stop bringing up Debbie Downer. Again, agree with Tamara. Vicki says, nice to meet you to Carmela, and Carmela's like, We've met. And Vicki's like, Well, we met ish.
Lori (29:25.101)
Absolutely.
Kelli (29:36.922)
Like, what is that? You met her at Emily's party. You actually said the words, it's nice to meet you. So stop.
Lori (29:40.589)
Three times did she meet her.
Lori (29:46.379)
I think they showed like three times that they met. Like they flashed back.
Kelli (29:48.945)
Yes. And Carmella brought her own vodka because she says she does risque stuff when she drinks wine. Listen, when you're invited to a winery and you don't drink wine, I feel like it's perfectly acceptable for you to bring whatever you want to drink.
Lori (30:03.745)
Listen, I like Carmella so much, I don't care what she does. And I don't know if I don't know if I like her so much because I dislike the other one so much.
Kelli (30:08.066)
Exactly. Gina doesn't drink, so if Gina wanted to drink
Kelli (30:16.336)
That's it. This is what happens. This is what to me is what's happening on the valley. Like Lala and Janet were coming for Danny so much, Danny and Nia, that you can't help but take their side because it's like the other two won't lay up. Like it's ridiculous. Vicky is making everybody like Carmella because Vicky is being such an asshole. Yeah.
Lori (30:35.691)
Right. Making him look good even when he's not good.
Lori (30:43.041)
The NASA, exactly. Yeah.
Kelli (30:46.968)
Again, Vicki's saying the Debbie Downer thing over and over. Shannon says Heather, Gina, and Vicky and she had dinner, and Heather is hurt by Emily. Heather says she's confused because she thought they were like, you know, Emily said, I consider Heather one of my best friends. And then Heather told her to stop talking. So Emily's like, I said you've been talking all night. And I feel like I get cut off a lot.
Emily saying that. She said, When you've been talking all when I say you've been talking all night, that's a fact. And you're not gonna, I'm not gonna alter who I am to accommodate Heather's needs. And good for her. Like it's very conditional to be Heather's friend. And then Gina tries to jump in, and Emily's like, I don't need you to jump in. And then Gina's like
Lori (31:33.588)
Yeah, dead for her.
Kelli (31:45.242)
That really hurts my feelings, you saying you don't need me. What are we doing?
Lori (31:51.358)
Exactly.
Kelli (31:53.349)
And at this point, Carmela's like, should I whip a boob out? Like just to like break the tension.
Lori (31:54.7)
You know what? They Yeah. Light in the mood. All these chicks need to come live in Jersey for a little while. With the with the feeling with the feeling nonsense. Stop it. Just stop it. Stop it.
Kelli (32:03.746)
W absolutly.
Yeah, but here's the funny thing. Heather DuBrot and Gina are both from New York. So what did you just lose your cool when you moved out there? Like when somebody says you've been talking all n we say to each other all the time. Like i i r fucking relax.
Lori (32:16.395)
Yeah, something, something.
Lori (32:22.519)
Right.
Lori (32:26.391)
Right.
Kelli (32:29.382)
So the whole whipping the boob out falls very flat with the rest of the group. I thought it was amazing. And quite honestly, I think she should have just done it. Vicky probably would have had a heart attack right then and there, God forbid. So Heather says Emily telling me to stop talking is a departure from the friendship they have recently. So basically, Heather saying that we could be friends as long as you don't do not ever insult me or say something that I don't like. Right.
Lori (32:31.873)
Great. Right. But I thought it was great. Yeah. Yeah.
Lori (33:01.239)
But I thought Emily did really good with that. I thought I'm not a big Emily fan, but I I think that she handled that whole thing well.
Kelli (33:03.79)
So do I. She said you can s
Kelli (33:11.046)
She did. She said, You can still be my good friend and I can still be irritated with you one night. Like, but then she still she still winds up apologizing to Heather because that's what everybody does. They kiss Heather's ass. And then and then Heather says, Let's just be more communicative with each other. That's what she was trying to do. And you cried. And you told her how badly she hurt your feelings because she tried to communicate with you.
Lori (33:16.567)
Sure, yeah.
Lori (33:32.183)
Right. Right.
Lori (33:39.051)
Right. Right.
Kelli (33:43.325)
So then Shannon says, she and Emily met with Carmella and they talked about the gift. Gina says, I want you to understand where I'm coming from. She's my best friend. And the feedback I got after you and Emily had dinner together was that you said Emily talks too much and asks too many questions. So, you know, Emily's like, that's the lawyer in me.
And then you bring her an elaborate gift and keep saying at the party, let's open the gift and let's open the gift and Gina thought it was weird. And this is when Tamra says Gina's jealous of Carmella. Yeah.
Lori (34:21.614)
Absolutely. It's weird it's weird that you have a problem with it, Gina. That's what's weird.
Kelli (34:28.708)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Right. So
Lori (34:33.069)
I would have like, look girl, you got that clutch. That would go perfect with that outfit I have in my closet. I can't wait to borrow it from you.
Kelli (34:38.116)
Right. Well I can't wait to borrow it, exactly. Mm-hmm. Carmilla says she felt insecure and exposed because of the questioning from Emily, but she understands it wasn't coming from a bad place. Emily says this is what I didn't like. Emily says I ask questions because I want to get to know people and quite honestly I kept asking questions because I felt like I wasn't getting a straight answer out of you. I think that's a load of shit.
Lori (34:41.313)
How I would have been.
Lori (35:04.033)
What is she in a what is she in a deposition? Stop it. Stop. She don't need to give you all her shit. She just fucking met you.
Kelli (35:06.828)
Exactly. Exactly.
Kelli (35:14.532)
Right. And they're like, She opened the dildo in front of her kids and Carmela's like, Well, I'm really sorry. Like I you know, and even Emily was like, Well, that's not her that's not her fault. Yeah, I mean, you I'm sorry, you had the party at drag bingo. A dildo is not an outlandish present for this atmosphere. Quite fitting.
Lori (35:21.163)
I tried to get you opening at the party. Yeah.
Lori (35:31.543)
Come on.
No, it's quite it's quite fitting.
Kelli (35:39.888)
You know then Tamra asks her if she bought her a cl a clit sucker. I'd never heard of one of those before, but I'm intrigued nonetheless.
Lori (35:53.76)
I told you about that. I told you and Terry about that Lemon.
Kelli (35:55.496)
you did?
Is that the banana? the lemon, the lemon.
Lori (36:03.853)
I did tell you about.
Kelli (36:04.368)
You did tell me about that. Okay. Carmela's like, if I knew it was going to turn into this, I wouldn't have done it. Gina's calling her out for flashing her money around. Even Shannon's like, Gina's got to take it down a notch. Carmela's like, you're acting like I have a character flaw for trying to buy Emily's friendship. And Gina gets all jacked up about that.
then in Emily's confessional she's like, It's the perfect size. It feels great. It's great. And she's hold then she's holding the clutch. Like the way she was talking, he thought it was the dildo.
Lori (36:40.525)
Yeah, it's great. But I thought Carmelo did I think she's gonna be just fine. I think she did very well on this whole setup, the whole conversation. She handled herself like a champ.
Kelli (36:54.778)
She did because Gina's like, Don't worry about me, you got bigger fish to fry with this one and points to Vicky.
Lori (36:59.684)
my God, that was like picked her up and threw her under both the wheels of the bus. Talk about a transfer.
Kelli (37:06.032)
Yep. But listen, I'm glad she did. Because let's get this out in the open how bitter and jealous Vicky is.
Lori (37:12.863)
Yes, yeah, absolutely.
And you like and you like how Vicky tried to be like, yeah, yeah, I I thought it was a weird gift too And Gina was like, no, no, no, no. Yeah. Yeah.
Kelli (37:24.572)
no no, not just that. So Vicky says my future husband, but she has no ring on her finger. Still to this day, there's no ring on her finger. He's a developer.
Lori (37:34.153)
And sa and says and says and has to add. Has to add. Doesn't really matter whether we get married.
Kelli (37:43.366)
That's right. That's right.
Lori (37:45.417)
I say that it.
Kelli (37:49.022)
He developed the residence of the little Nell, whatever the fuck that is. And Shannon and Gina, Vicki and Tamara told me you said she wasn't even an agent. Shannon said Gina, Vicki, and Tamra told me that you the Vicki said you weren't even an agent. Or no, Gina said you weren't even an agent. Gina said, I did not say that. She has a real estate license. And Carmella says, I have a real estate license.
Lori (37:54.498)
And who cares?
Kelli (38:16.536)
And broker's license. And Gina says she is an investor, and this is where I'm trying to be. So Tamara's right. Absolutely.
Lori (38:24.631)
She told on she told on herself. She told on herself is what she did.
Kelli (38:30.95)
Vicky says she's a flipper. Gina apologizes. and Emily says, Listen, I've seen her many times. And Gina says, Emily told me she thinks you are a girl's girl. and then Gina's like, I didn't want Carmela to know that I was talking about her. Yeah, because you want in on the job that Jen's getting.
Lori (38:53.485)
Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. So
Kelli (38:54.62)
but listen, I actually as annoying as Vicky's being right now, I mean, if you took Vicky out of the picture, I'd really be happy. This kind of drama and banter and nonsense, I'm okay with. Nobody's calling private investigators on each other, nobody's creepy as fuck. You know what I'm saying? This is all light banter and drama, and I like it.
Lori (39:15.635)
Right. Right, right, right. Yeah, yeah.
Lori (39:23.211)
Right. Right.
Kelli (39:25.316)
It's not a Louis and Teresa situation. So as far as I'm concerned, we're fine. Nobody's faking cancer.
Lori (39:27.883)
Right, right, right. Right.
Right. Yeah. But she if she would just
If she would just maybe be more of herself and not this whole persona of what she thinks the audience wants her to be, maybe I'd like her a little better. But it's just very it's very performative and it's just I'm just I'm not digging it. I'm not digging it.
Kelli (39:50.97)
Yeah. I know.
Kelli (39:59.28)
Vicky's very performative, for sure. Mm-hmm. So is Heather, so is Tamra.
Lori (40:05.877)
And I thought it was definitely, definitely messy of Emily. And if I was Gina and I really did consider Emily my best friend, I would not be considering her that after this.
Kelli (40:16.71)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (40:21.06)
No, I know. I agree with you.
Lori (40:23.243)
because that's not how besties operate. You don't throw your friend under the bus for some ratings. You don't. So maybe
Kelli (40:32.87)
Yep. No, I feel like Emily's had I feel like Emily's been doing this for a while now. For a couple of seasons. And it's a shame 'cause I really liked her. But I just feel like she's, you know, putting the Johnny Bravo suit on.
Lori (40:40.269)
Mm.
Lori (40:50.485)
Yeah, yeah. And Gina, it's it's not a good look to to act like jealous like that 'cause you're a grown woman. You're you're a grown woman. Right, right. You're a big girl. Nobody's ten here with you know my best friend bullshit.
Kelli (40:57.37)
Right. Just embrace this new girl because that's what you would have wanted them to do with you.
Kelli (41:06.94)
Mm-hmm.
Kelli (41:18.394)
All right, well thank you for listening and watching.
Lori (41:22.135)
Yep.
